Same problem here, Win 10. It won't even load. But with a post 9 months old, I guess there's no solution coming.
this game is dead, it will not work from windows 7 or windows 10, but 8/8.1 it seems to play, (odd).

and also, i have 3 monitors, and this game screws every windows size on every monitor.

no fix, game is finally dead. i will be uninstalling this game, until there is a a fix.

GOG fix this SH** !
today i tried it on my Linux system.
it started, but soon after that, it showed an error message saying that it wolud change the resolution settings of my screen to work with what the game needs.
i colud click ´ok´ for proceeding, or ´cancel´ to return to ´windows´.
with either of those options the game then crashes... so sad...
fix this please GOG.com, because i knew this game from the past, and it's made too well to be let down by this bug!
I also had trouble with this wonderful game. I decided to play it again and found that it would not launch. The tech at GOG emailed me, promptly too, with suggestions that did not work. So this is what I did . . . I uninstalled the game completely. Then I redownloaded the game however I used the link that downloads the game and the GOG galaxy app/installer. After installation I clicked play and . . voila . . . the game works.

So for all of you you can try this and maybe it will work for ya. Hope it does help someone.

regards
Alfonso

I downloaded Titanic Adventure Out of Time off of Steam. It has some issues with a very fast 7 core processor, but I am able to play the game on Windows 10 to completion. I did not have to change any compatibility settings.
It wouldn't start through the app. What I did was install it through the GOG website, and now it works on the app.
limiting the ti exe to 1 core affinity helped fix my problem to run the program itself, either via taskmanager starttitanic exe
or via a new shortcut on desktop:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "Titanic" /affinity 1 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Titanic - Adventure Out Of Time\TI.EXE"
replaced with your gog folder location and file name
afterwards you can add an unofficial patch to fix some ingame bugs from here, copy and replace into LOCAL game folder
github. com/M3tox/TAOOT

Also set EXE compatibility mode to 8-bit 256 colors and run in 640x480 resolution

If you want it bigger than 640x480 Resoltuion there is no option in the GOG and Steam versions,
you will have to do it via the Nvidia or AMD Control panel, select (old) Nvidia control panel
-> Adjust desktop size and position -> 2. apply following settings: Scaling: Full Screen via GPU not Display,
override scaling mode set by games
