I think I've done that once or twice on my Summoner.

I tried playing a bit with my char that has the lich summon; he has the first few abilities maxed and the last one only a few points.
The problem with the lich is that it's a pain in the ass to kill stuff, because they always chase me when I start shooting.
The core dweller has an actual force agro and the wolves just keep the enemy surrounded so they can't move.

Another thing I noticed is that other then his basic attack, ONLY that last lich skill will even damage undead, because it does elemental.
I have to run away from those mages that throw poison flasks a LOT. :-s

I didn't want to post without trying it again since it's been ages since I played and killed him. Though now that I have again, I feel the boss is very weak even before considering it used to be an endgame fight.

First did it with an Elementalist, only had a Core Dweller as a pet at that point that wasn't maxed and had little trouble with the fight, though I think I used a scroll for some more temporary summons. It took some circling around him but was disappointingly easy for the former final boss.

Then I made a spear Slayer, and that was a different story. I grabbed a Battle Marker and only had to back off two or three times for potions before he died.

Then in Epic with the same Slayer, without any of the shrine buffs that boss lasted at most 4 seconds once I started hitting him. I didn't even see him die because I was looking down at my hotbar to find a skill and he was dead before I could select it.

I feel that boss is very underwhelming, every time so far even the few Cyclops on they way to him are much harder than he is.

Sorry but I'm guessing there's a bit of a language barrier? So I'm not certain I understand exactly what you mean. I presume by the sound of it you're calling something into question but since you haven't pointed it out while quoting the whole post it's hard to tell what exactly. I would guess you're referring to how easy that boss (Typhon) is, and how easily the Slayer character killed him?

Well since that character is now in Legendary Difficulty with different gear etc (I haven't played for a while so don't remember exactly how far along), I'm not sure how I would be able go back and do it again exactly as last time because in a way it's not the same character anymore and I don't remember which gear I used and what skills I've applied since then. I sometimes back up my saves but have no idea if I have any from round that point in time.

Even if I have backups from that point in time and could somehow find the right one I'm not sure I see the point as it's not really impressive. It's not hard to find videos of people killing bosses in Titan Quest including Typhon, and far more impressive ones of people making short work of the Hydra which is a far more worthy boss.

It's dirt easy to stomp over Typhon with a Slayer, should give it a go yourself if you haven't (and the Slayer was great fun especially if you like melee). Remember the Slayer has loads of buffs, some debuffs and a summons, and even more summons if you use a scroll. Once all those buffs/debuffs are up and you then get some triple hits with Volley (which is like 300% damage plus all the buffs against a debuffed target, a few lucky Volleys in a row does loads of damage and something like Typhon just melts away), meanwhile they're often busy attacking the summons/Battle Standard so except for AOE attacks you might not even get hit before something like Typhon goes down.

I don't remember how far along I am in Legendary now, though I haven't yet fought Typhon in Legendary I'm not expecting him to be any challenge at all presuming I get that far since I'm quite burnt out on TQ having gone through a bunch of time now with that Elementalist and Slayer.

So i understood that You killed him again. As few versions ago (before IT iirc and before Anniversary ed ofc) he was way easier.

Now core dweller is great "Typhon healer" it goes down as heated snow and typhon is on full health again.

Here is where i could not believe and called for a video as i was playing another melee character (conqueror) and never finished that fight. Deleted character when after trying different builds (spent over 7 mil on "respecs") my death count went from 2 (when i reach Typhon) to57 (only when trying to kill him). Maybe i had weak stuff, but they were mainly blue with few greens mainly obtained in far east chapter so not sure if i can get anything better. Now i am trying Harbinger, and hope it will make better (dual wielding for better dps instead tanky "board & sword" set). If it would fail i will have to wait a while and maybe another character would be Slayer (i like the class name). I pressume if Yoy're talking about "melee" character that You used Spear weapon, which is not my favourite (i always prefer dps over dph), but if harbinger would fail i will have no choice but to try Slayer.

Wait, are you having trouble beating him on Normal? I'd assumed this discussion was about Legendary. If this is normal, I actually have a save of a melee character (warfare/rogue) who just beat him without trouble (currently sitting in Rhodes), and I could probably record another playthrough if you wanted to see the build and technique. I also clobbered him ludicrously fast on normal with a Nature/Dream pet build, and the pets (and reflect) did pretty much all of the damage. That build just finished Hades, so it's a bit over-level now for a replay, but I can do a recording of that too, if you want.

Update: I went ahead and recorded a playthrough of Assassin vs Typhon, effectively L32 (went up to 33 on the way back to him but didn't spend the points). This is on 1.31/GOG-6, all gear attainable on a first playthrough with luck and/or grinding (getting Dex gear kind of sucks, and you end up replaying the later Orient a lot to kill cats). I took 3 deaths on the way up to him, partly because of player error and partly because I didn't get a good attack rate debuff charm until late Orient, but killed Typhon without trouble both times.

The trick is to kill him *before* he can use the lifedrain. Scroll of Frenzy + max Battle Standard + Shrine of Mastery = ludicrous DPS.
