Blame the devs/publisher, make that both, for this colossal screw up.

Instead of giving notice to gog and steam, they decide to spring it out of nowhere and suprise fans; leaving everything up
in the air with people working round the clock to get a stable release out (currently steam) with no word on the GOG release. All the while remaining mum/silent about it due to fan irritation due to their stance.

And as time goes on, the release of this expansion seems more and more unlikely due to the delays/no actual news that are caused by the stupidity of whoever pushed the release button on the expansion that had a twitchy push finger. And fans ultimately give the game bad reviews due to this.

Its already been a week since it was announced, and released on steam with no word on the current progress for GOG other than pushbacks to its release. GOG could at least put up a store page for the expansion, and the dev/pub could take responsibility for this by being transparent about what happened and releasing the content on GOG; and or helping getting it released with the QA stuff.

This is what gets me worked up and angry at them, im willing to wait for content and pay for it; but whats happening now with this feels like a betrayal to me; and ultimately makes me lose faith in the industry.
Atleast we will get the dlc release and updates. On Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion, the DLC that was supposed to be released, they said they didn't have any interest in releasing it on gog, or some such crap. I am willing to wait for the content.

Any info regarding viability of using mods for the Atlantis?
By the time it get rolled to GOG probably the Steam version will already have at least inventory enlargement and stuff implemented, no?

They couldn't foward it to the department and actually give concrete news as to the release within less than a day; or release something on pcgamer/kotaku/vg247/(insert other gaming news outlets) in regards to this?

People have to email them personally and find out after a couple days of waiting?

That and Twitter hasnt been updated since Monday 05/13 in regards to whats going on with the dlc. Seems to me like they're not addressing the issue as two people have tweeted as a question to them whats going on with the release date/status of it and no response to those. Personally I am taking this a bit too seriously; but do not want to have to ask GOG for a refund/try to get one and purchase the game on Steam again with all the expansions.

I wouldn't freak out too much. GOG did a QA pass, Steam didn't. Steam has a buggy release, GOG is making them wait.

If they fix the Steam version and it takes more than, say, 48 hours to release on GOG, then I'll grab my pitchfork and join you.

I'd recommend playing Grim Dawn or Fell Seal for now. :)

Update 2.5 on steam, and bugs not fixed ...

I prefer the QA pass on gog !
