I'm liking this game so far, but I don't know Gwent (apart from in-game Witcher 3 Gwent) and I don't understand these totally alien rules. I particularly hate the fact that 80 percent of my battles have been of the "special rules" type, where you have to beat -- solve a puzzle -- the enemy in one round. Did I tell you I hate puzzles, too? No? Well, I do. Now, if I understood the game and rules properly I might have a chance, but I haven't won a single "special rule" game yet.

Currently, I'm stuck on the mob battle at Wetterton. I've spent the last hour, and still don't know how to beat an unruly mob with just 3 cards.

Help!
Solved.

The point of the puzzles, especially in the beginning of the game, is to teach the mechanics of cards, and to teach you how to exploit them to create good combos of cards and understand the synergy between them.

If you have given up trying to figure out how the cards work together, the solution is this:
- Play Wagenburg 1st row, end turn
- Play War Wagon 1st row, end turn
- Order both Light Infantry to move rows, play Reynard on 1st row, order both Light Infantry to move again, use Wagenbur to eliminate the row of Angry Mob

Oh cool, I didn't know it was answered in another post.
Still, useful to have in both threads a correct solution to the puzzle if someone is lost. :)

I didn't know it was answered in another thread, either. I solved it myself.
