Thank you for explaining the situation. I assumed it might have been GOG doing their own testing with the patches but it makes sense for the dev to do that of course hence you are waiting on 11bit studio. I'm sure they will deliver soon.

I know! I've been checking GoG on a daily basis for this. Definitely never been so excited about an update lol! We can certainly shorten/lengthen the war and with the charcter creation I'm hoping we can lessen the harshness.

Unsure if we'd have enough control to say... create a character so they can carry 17 items AND become an excellent cook (Marin for example uses less items). The only character who can carry that many is Boris so it will be interesting to see if when we create a new character, we have to select one of the current character presets. Time will tell.

I agree completely, this one is VERY important as it adds so many new features.
and thank YOU.... the GOG team does an amazingjob at giving us all flexibility and above all actually LISTENING to us all, you're all wonderful.

Might email 11bit studios to ask them how the 1.3 DRM free distribution patch is going :)
Spot on 100%. I check in the morning before work and when I get home, hoping it is coming. As you can read above, Katatonicone said it was a while before they got 1.2 so this is a little bit of a worry. I guess it depends what "a while means" if it means 2 weeks, well in 2 days, it is 2 weeks.

Maybe might be worth dropping 11bit studios an email asking if the DRM free 1.3 patch is coming within the week or so. I don't mind waiting but I'd like to be in the loop per se. I soooooooooooo want this patch because like you said I am pretty sure we can change the harshness. I looked for youtube vids, there are a few people playing the new one but they don't go through all the menu options unfortunately....

At present all we can do is wait. I am hoping for this week but it is all up to 11Bit studios really. Their vid said in the next few weeks. For me 'few weeks' means 2 weeks *maybe* 3 but 3 is pushing it :)

Anyway lets see. Maybe we should stop checking everyday and just try to get it out of our minds then one day it will just be there................

Very good update.
Would have liked 11bit to put in some more options though. I still want to experiment with crafting so I would like to change the amount one can hold in the backpack but sadly this is not an option.

You can change the harshness which means you get robbed less and you can turn winter off. Would have liked to have seen a sandbox mode. I realise this is probably not in 11Bit studio's Ethos but it would have been nice.
