Hi, I downloaded the game using the normal download file from a different PC and then installed it and later added it to my GOG Galaxy list on my own home PC. I did rather than downloading directly from Galaxy because my internet connection's data cap at home is severely limited.
I've been playing the game for over 4 hours with no problem, but a while ago I had a power outage while playing. When the power came back on and I started my PC again, GOG Galaxy started to download a 415 MB "update" to the game. I stopped that because it's eating my (extremely) limited data cap, which is the entire reason for which I downloaded it elsewhere in the first place. I can't play the game on GOG Galaxy anymore, because the Play button is greyed out since I stopped the update, but I can play perfectly on the regular game shortcut.
So, my question is this: just what the heck is this large file? I looked on my library and the game's download size seems to be the same, and there's no patch to download. The game works fine on its own, without Galaxy, so why does Galaxy believes it has to download such a large update all of a sudden? Clearly the power outage had something to do with it, but there doesn't seem to be any actual damage with the game's files, so I assumed it was just a coincidence and the update would have happened anyway if I just had restarted the PC on my own, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Am I just locked out of playing the game through Galaxy, at least until I do a reinstall (for which I have to re-download the game, since I erased the install file, like a dingus)? Am I overlooking something here? Any help is appreciated.
