I just finished Thief Gold (with TFix) on normal difficulty. It was fabulous! So now I'm looking forward to Thief 2.

If I purchase Thief 2 from GOG, would I need to add any mods for widescreen, etc? And are there any mods like TFix for the sequel... graphical and texture enhancements, bug fixes, etc.?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm some lazy noob... but I looked around a little bit here and haven't found any quick answers to these questions in the threads I looked in.

What is your opinion of TafferPatcher? Does it do for Thief 2 largely the same things that TFix does for T1?

Are the texture upgrades more noticeable, or subtle like in TFix?

It's essentially the same as TFix.

The textures aren't really necessary - T2 already looks much better than enhanced Thief.

Anywhere I can find some comparison screenshots between T2 original and TafferPatcher (with graphic upgrades installed)?

I can definitely see some of the improved textures in the first level esp. the stone walls and the wood floor, but then things like oriental rugs are still low poly and it kinda makes the difference "clash." I guess all these graphic packs are works in progress, eh?
