I have not played this game for a few week, and when I tried to play it again, my saves were gone. its this happened to anyone else? At least I was not too far in to the game with these saves....

You have to remember to enter exactly the same username as used before while starting the game - one's saves are linked to one's username.

If you just go to the 'SAVE' folder in your Theme Hospital installation location there should be save files with the nicknames you used whenever you played the game.
