I have myself a killer hospital with lots happening, however the game now keeps freezing after I load my save, sometimes it takes a few minutes sometimes straight away. I believe it’s due to graphics problem as sometimes the screen wont draw properly and I end up with several doctors in the one room for example, and it seems to run seamlessly through the first levels where there was little graphics action, but now I have a jam packed hospital it won’t move on.

I have tried absolutely everything. I am using windows 7 ultimate 64bit, but have also tried a vista machine, and believe it or not a windows XP virtual HD. All to no avail.
I have also tried all different graphic options from the gog config tool but just can’t get it to work. I’ve also tried dropping the graphics in the game and running it in super slomo to stop the intense graphic movement.
As I said I think it’s a graphic issues but can’t be sure with everything I've tried, maybe it’s a bug in the level I'm on (i think level 4 or 5?? I have spent ages on this issue I really want it resolved so I can return to my awesome hospital!

I've had the exact same problem, on a Windows Vista.
No clue how to fix it, sorry :(

Yepp, do have exactly the same problem. Since my Hospital is big and a lot is happening, it freezes too often. It's just not playable anymore and that's a real shame.

The exact same thing is happening to me playing on my mac.

Game just stops (I think i'm on level 5)

Game froze today as I lifted a surgeon out of the operating theatre. But it has frozen before, just can't remember what I was doing when it froze previously. All I know is I opened the game back up and everything was gone so I had to start again.

Any ideas?!

I was about $100,000 away from beating the last level (and without a backup save 3 in game years) when I encountered the surgeon bug. I haven't tested it, but I believe it leads on to the crash bug.

Long story short, my game froze when the surgeon walked in to the surgery he was already present in.

I encountered the freeze several times (and I was so close to just giving up and cheating myself through the level), but I was able to dodge it by finding the clone (in a GPs office and sacking him. Once he left the premises, the clone in the surgery wasn't there. Although I couldn't then remove the surgery, I built another one, and effectively closed the faulty one, thus, the glitched surgeon wasn't there to walk in on himself, and supposedly trigger a paradox, and crash the game.

In fig.1, you can see the surgeon sitting in a sofa in the surgery. Whatever the doctor is doing, anywhere in the hopital, the copy in the surgery is doing. In fig.2, this is the point of crash. I was very lucky to spot this, as the scroll function locks as well. It might not be related, but in this screenshot, the doctor is walking into the surgery he (or his clone) already inhabits.

If I was to play the game again, I'd definitely do rolling saves, and I'd try not to even touch surgeons until they are out of the room (if I were to drop them into a staff room).

It appears to be a bug with the training room in my case, where doctors get stuck with handyman going in/out of the room...I tried to delete all the saved games except the #8 which is autosave one but doesn't solve...I'm trying to re-create that room elsewhere.

Had problems in the surgery. Deleted the room and the freezing went away.

I experienced several freezes (mainly with operating theatre but often random). I also wish there could be a way to solve the issue (will try deleting the bad rooms) because if not one has to restart the level, hoping there is indeed a previous save!
For the rest I love the game and I am so happy I found it and got the chance to play it again!
