I think the very bad ending

but about the very bad ending I think you have so many options and I think its hard if you do not specially provoke wants to earn the bad end of it.

Just because he was a dickhead doesn't mean he didn't know her better than anybody else. He just didn't have any empathy or compassion. He was there at the end of it all, with Ciri and Avallac'h. He knows how it went down. You don't.

I think ((bunsenbrenner)) is right if you end the game with ciri's death - geralt didn't know ciri well and that explains the bad ending
for triggering the bad ending you must refuse her (ciri) requests with disappointing dialogs and when ciri remember dialogs during battle with white frost ...

There are no facts past her going into the portal as far as the player is concerned. But I get it: you want Ciri to be alive no matter what. That's fine, it's your game.

Look, I'll explain something to you as best I can. Geralt's attitude towards Ciri explains *why* there is a sad ending, but it does NOT explain 'The Bad Ending'. And if you don't understand that, well...

Why you insist on a "good/bad" ending? The series is known for the lack of "good/bad" stuff. There are different outcomes and thats all - we dont know what happens to ciri, thats what we know. Just because Geralt says she is dead doesnt mean a thing, except showing his uncertainty, unrest and self-doubts and the crome feeds on it.

Why should geralts wrong decisions lead to her failure "defeating" the white frost? :D That makes no sense at all - But I can imagine she decides no to return because of this ... She knows a lot of places where she might feel more comfortable.

I'm not. Unless you hadn't noticed, the title (and purpose) of this thread is "worst ending". That's exactly what I bloody well said! It makes perfect sense: Ciri herself even doubted that she would ever return. It was an extremely dangerous thing that she had to do. There were no guarantees, no return ticket. It has more to do with Ciri's state of mind than Geralt's actual decisions, though they are inevitably connected. There is no enigma here.

But in ending in question isn't his death implied? That last scene looks like he just may let go and not defend himself. It's not stated clearly but I feel that it would make sense. But as any good saga it's left to player to decide for himself...
