Trynn: Yeah i canceled my preorder.
You may not believe me but if the game acutally is "fixable" i'll be one of the first buying it again. I just dont believe in that at this point of time.

hattori69: And whats broken?....cus we dont know cus the game isnt out yet....
The thing is CD Projekt Red has been very weird about showing off the Witcher 3 on the PC. What we have seen of the game on the PC, the settings have been gimped, even though they said it was on max settings (it wasn't), they haven't even allowed people to play with a keybaord and a mouse in any of the previews, it has always been on controls, which isn't promising to say the least (in fact, as late as this month they still hadn't completed work on PC controls because they put the consoles before the PC for the Witcher 3, so the PC crowd gets the "last minute rush" treatment it seems...).

It's weird that the very rare time that they did show off the PC version they didn't even have it on max settings, and said that it was on ultra, even though though it wasn't. Why would they do that? Does that mean the settings that we are seeing are going to be different at launch? It's kind of confusing to be honest.

If people have been confused and or lost their trust, it's due to CD Projekt Red suddenly bing less transparent than they used to be.

Trynn: you'r not up 2 date man ;)

EDIT: To clarify, there is enought "out" now, to be worried about the pc version.

hattori69: Im up to date...man...all i see is awsome reviews and graphics...but yea cancel preorder cus the bricks on the wall are all about open world crpg
Only the console versions have been reviewed... There hasn't been a PC review yet so you shouldn't base your opinion on how the game will be on PC by console reviews of the game.

Not sure about that too. One possible solution would be, if they really work on core improvements of the pc version until 19. But can we really beleive that? For my part i can't ...

So whats left for this strange behaviour?

But there is pc footage / strems in the last days (journals / streamers) without the day1 patch - and at least the graphic part was visible due this. i just can't imagine that this patch will be such a huge difference.

Yeah, that's what people here don't understand or are just denying/pretending isn't true.

Everyone with eyes can see that visually, the game isn't next-gen. CD Projekt Red stated that PC players had no need for worry, that the Witcher 3 was a PC game first. Either that was PR bullshit, or that day one patch is going to be more of a game changer than people think.

Oops, sorry, I didn't realize you alone spoke for the masses.
Hey, does anyone recognize this movie reference?

Sean: It's not your fault.

Beligerent: [Beligerent shrugs] Yeah, I know that.

[Beligerent averts his eyes to the floor]

Sean: Look at me son.

[Beligerent locks eyes with Sean]

Sean: It's not your fault.

Beligerent: [Beligerent nods] I know.

Sean: No. It's not your fault.

Beligerent: I know

Sean: No, no, you don't. It's not your fault.

[Sean moves closer to Beligerent]

Sean: Hmm?

Beligerent: I know.

[Beligerent stands up, trying to keep distance]

Sean: It's not your fault.

Beligerent: Alright.

Sean: It's not your fault.

[Beligerent closes his eyes, he's fighting for control]

Sean: It's not your fault.

Beligerent: Don't fuck with me.

[Beligerent shoves Sean back]

Beligerent: Don't fuck with me, Sean, not you!

Sean: It's not your fault. It's not your fault.

[Beligerent breaks into sobs. They hug]

Clever stuff there mate.
I dont care about grafix. I wouldnt care if this game looked like Gothic I, but I'm worried about controls and interface. i didn't see ANY screenshot or video where game is played with keyboard and mouse. almost all multiplatform games have mediocre controls and interface (
If for some miracle they make a game that looks 99 % Like the 35minute Uncompressed edition , I will stick with my Purchase . i Realise the e3 vgx assets where gone like 7 months ago

if the final build is just like the Ps4 edition with a few shadows ; lighting ; hairworks and tiny better foliage , I will never buy anything for them . My argument is For graphics ? No hell no....i love playing bloodborne at 30fps in Ps4: I been 72 hours and chalice dungeons almost complete - I will stay away Cd projekt . They lied about Console Parity marketing ; they lied about Vgx ; Sod and then they make a contradiction few days ago .

Sudenly after a few reviewer got the pc game and upload youtube videos ( Ign ; pc german magazine etc ) ; they where happy talking with their journalists ; but when the video PS4 VS PC was shown. People start to realise something was going wrong and the developers created another contradiction ( The game will look like the 35 minutes ) .

False advertisting is inmoral and illegal in some countries .

False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising, and misrepresentation of the product at hand, which may negatively affect many stakeholders, especially consumers. As advertising has the potential to persuade people into commercial transactions that they might otherwise avoid, many governments around the world use regulations to control false, deceptive or misleading advertising. Truth refers to essentially the same concept, that customers have the right to know what they are buying, and that all necessary information should be on the label.
False advertising, in the most blatant of contexts, is illegal in most countries. However, advertisers still find ways to deceive consumers in ways that are legal, or technically illegal but unenforceable.

E3 : gameplay footage
35 minutes : Gameplay footage
Nvidia conference 2013

Either way They are doing damage control . Will see in 2 days the Truth about Cd projekt red

Agreed Joacko_1990,

I more worried about my ati R9 290x not taking full advantage of the beautiful graphics since PC version is designed to support nvidia. So maybe if downgrades are false. I'll still have poor looks or poorer performance for my game. :(

Crossing my fingers..

Hi how are you thanks for understand :
i build a Sli configuration for my Rig but The 290x is a beast . . Did you ever overclocked that thing ? . Cd projekt dont take full advance of Nvidia Physcs and hairworks ; Their most demanding effect will not be in the gpu . They are litteraly Destroying all the hype building in the 35 minutes gameplay. I know some Cd projekt developer speak about huge drops playing with amd But dont be afraid .

I dont know about you , I will prefer to play at 30fps with all blowmind effects before the downgrade . But no matter what im preatty sure you will achieve 60fps 1080p ultra settings like the ps4 version . Saying that i have never seen a downgrade so huge since Watch dogs . We need to wait and see

Guys, you're scarrying the **** out of me with your negative perspectives about the PC.

I didn't watch any footage but the ones CD Projekt proposed on the internet, don't want the fantasy to be spoiled, but it's very pessimistic thoughts you have there :-/

I can't believe CDPR will screw things up as Ubisoft did for Watch Dogs or AC Unity, they even postponed the release date for The Witcher, ain't that a sign that they want their game as shiny as possible?

Besides, as said before, I'm pretty sure the game will still be pretty pleasant to the eyes even on high or ultra. Remember that it's a open world with very few loadings, so a game has to be demanding to have improved graphics compared to The Witcher 2 but on a much much larger scale.

Just be patient guys, you might be positively surprised when the D-Day comes!

Trynn: Now, NO it does not help if you tell us "lets just wait for the game". At this point there is no discussion - please stop posting things like that if you cant contribute to the topic!
We are contributing to the topic telling you "let's wait for the game and see" because it's the only way to find out what it really looks like. Youtube compressed videos distort things.

Those people that complain about the so called "downgrade" are just whiny and silly, and don't let a bunch of QQers to take you down with them. Downgrade or not, it doesn't matter. As you said, the game will look stunning, run at high FPS (unlike consoles), and will be amazing in every way possible. CDPR are very straightforward and open, and have a loyal fanbase. I doubt they'll start fucking shit up now and end up hated like EA / Ubifail.

Graphics are nice to have, make a game pretty and nice to look at. But it's not the most important thing. I'd rather have more development time on enriching the world, lore, quests, and gameplay. Even if they did downgrade, I wouldn't care. As a PC master-race gamer, I wouldn't mind a downgrade if it means the game will be easier on console machines. Aslong as it means more profit for the company, I'm happy. More money = more, better games in the future, and CDPR being the only company out there with a moral compass, I'd rather have them stay in business.

"What? They've sold their souls to the console lords and you're justifying them?? They lied to everyone and still you're believing they did it to deliver more great game in future?! It's just pure nonsense!!!"

Wanna see more of such gibberish or even contribute? Come and join "the clan", we need recruits like you!
