Same issue here. I've tried all the same things and more...
Do you have writing permission in that location? As that's what the error is complaining about.
I made all that things too. I even try to install that game to another machine with the same result.
did try on a diffrent OS , with less permission issue ...

same probleme , am thinking about ghosting back a windows 8.1 to test ..

all files in the folder have full power or realted folder ... event made a task in task scheduler for the processs giving it full power

Qessu: Do you have writing permission in that location? As that's what the error is complaining about.
Even with full access to all folders and run as admin, the game still crashes after the intro video (yennefer search) and a 2-3 seconds display of loading. (Win8.1, gtx970, AMD 8Core)
A test on an older PC (win7,IntelCore I5, gtx770) did not show this error and the game starts normal.

I have the same video card. Game did'n start because must be dx11 card.
You can start this game on that video card if you use the "Force WARP" in direct 3d settings. For that you must install Windows SDK. You can read about it on that link: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1973140/run-dx11-game-dx10-graphics-card.html
or search on google "Run dx11 game on dx10 graphics card".

Hi, I've got the same problem. I'm sure it is about graphic card. When I uninstalled drivers for my card, the game finally started but it was really slow and I wasn't even able to move Geralt. You can try to look for new drivers but I think it won't work. Now I'm tryin' to run DX11 on my Radeon HD4870x2. If it will solve the problem, I'll tell you
OK, I've done this, but it is not working at all.. GOG thinks that game is started but it isn't. I dont have this crash error, but it is not working anyway. I think that buying a new graphic card can solve this problem.. I'm not really happy about that..

Same issue here even with patch 1.03.
Please, people. Post your system Specs...
