In the More > Configure window, untick the "Game Overlay" DLC. I think recent GOG Galaxy patch must have broken it.

I never had this option checked and the game stoped working as well.

Game doesn't start even without Galaxy anymore.

Shit... It ain't "in-game overlay" in Galaxy. It's "Game overlay" in game DLC's... Figured it out just after deleting the game and staring a new download. Damn it!

hahaha - same here!! I first found "In-Game Overlay" and was very frustrated as it did nothing to help. But I got it right before deinstalling!
