I am having the exact same issue you are describing. However, I don't think this is a server overload/capacity issue at all.

I have checked the download speeds and connection types with both the GoG Downloader and Galaxy client. They both download the content from the exact same CDN (AS15133 EDGECAST in my case) with the exact same address but the GoG Downloader manages to use my whole bandwidth while Galaxy struggles to even reach 100KB/s.

Therefore it is safe to assume that there is some wrong with the Galaxy client and not GoG as a distributor. For now I think it is best to use the GoG Downloader or wait for a patch to the Galaxy Client. It is a beta after all.

It's better to use Downloader as it allows you to pause/resume and with Galaxy you can only cancel.

As for the speed, I've downloaded it with Galaxy (for testing purpose) and got 1-1.5 MB/s average and sometimes it hit 2.5 MB/s.

I allso getting very slow downloading only 0.2mb/s and on gog downloader i get 8-10 mb/s...

Good to know, it's nice behaviour. For games installed using old installers (GOG team has been updating installers to make them Galaxy compatible for a couple of months) you have to import folder from the library menu.

The downloads now work from the account page and I'm getting a solid 10 MB/s speed. Cannot complain :) Could probably max out even faster connections..

By the way, why is it 31.5 GB via Downloader and "only" 26 GB via Galaxy, does anybody know?

wierd... why do i get 0.01 mb/s with galaxy what is this is ... i got 100mbit internet connection and download everything fast. And with GOG DOWNLOADER im stuck at 70% of the witcher 3 downloaded. Is the other files corrupted ?

You are not the first one to have that issue, check the previous threads. Maybe I'll have that problem, too. What is strange is that now everyone claims that they are downloading 30GB, while I'm downloading 21.95 GB...

So I think it's probably because of your location. You still have 7 more days :)

Yeah location is an issue, I'm in rural Ireland no broadband or dial up where I am. I'm actually using the iPhone tethered to the pc to download it, but usually I get at least 500kbs.

Will be lucky if I get past 22mb without the download failing like the last 2 times

Checking in again. My download speed has been fine now, going as fast as my connection allows. That's through Galaxy.
