Hey, I'm going straight to the question and I hope someone will be able to help me out.

I recently (well I say recently but I already played 40 hours) bought Witcher 3 and everything worked fine. I didn't realise I had to activate a key to be able to update and download DLC's though. I did that yesterday and updated everything and downloaded the Game Overlay and 16 free DLC's. But when I click "play" it turns grey only to turn back to green 10 sec later.

It literally won't start. Even the exe file not ran through GOG Galaxy won't launch... No Errors, no messages.

-AMD Radeon R9 390x
-Intel Core i7-6700 3,4GHz
-16gb RAM
- WIndows 10 Pro 64-bit (latest updated version, no pre-release version though)

Some people say it has to do something with windows, anyone knows how to help?

Same problem here, some people claim that redownloading the game fixes it (can't confirm as redownloading the whole thing would take ages for me and reinstalling it from the disks doesn't help).
As it stands for now, redownloading it seems to be the only option...

Core i5 4570
Geforce GTX 1070
16GB RAM
Windows 8.1 Enterprise

P.S.: Try running the game directly from the witcher3.exe-file, perhaps that helps.

P.P.S.: So the issue in my case was a corrupted Visual C++ Redistributable-installation. Try starting it from the aforementioned .exe and if the error message you get says something about a missing "vcomp100.dll" you can fix it by downloading and installing it from here.

yea I already ran it through the normal exe file and through the GOG version, no difference. It just does not start.
