I have a problem installing witcher 3. i inserted disk 1. as i run the setup everything seemed to work fine. but then it just got stuck on "2 minutes remaining" i waited 7 hours but nothing happens. why? Can you help me fix it??

i am having this issue as well i have not found any solution for it yet myself

one way to get around that if you have a good internet connection is to put your code into GOG and download your digital backup

Hopefully there's a way apart from downloading 40gb..

Try copying all disc's to My Doc's and then double click set up and install that way.
Haven't used this way for a long time,but it did work.

The only thing is you may have to sometimes zip and then unzip,to get all files opened.(Copied files in My doc's)
Also you may have a problem starting to copy,but persevere as there is ways around it.

1) Move the Files from ALL cd's in a folder. Name it for example Witcher 3

2) Download this: adfly/1Hgzrn (Direkt Download)(i removed the dots, you need to put them manually, because youre not allowed to post links. simply put a "." between "ad" and "fly" and add "http://" before it)

3) Rename your setup.bin files like this: setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-1
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-2
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-3
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-continue with this

4) Start the downloaded file and it installs!

FYI, step 2 won't work because that link is specific to your account. Use this instead:
https://www.gog.com/downlink/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/en1installer1

Note: You'll need to have the game on your account and be logged in for it to work. If you don't already have the game on your GOG account, there should be a code to redeem it on the back of the game manual :)
