Hello, question for anyone who has completed this game on "Death March" difficulty is that even possible? Because i started playing Witcher 3 on Death March since i've previously played Witcher 2 on Dark difficulty and it wasn't that bad for me. But this is a whole another story because enemies doesn't take any damage at all if your level is too low. And the problem is after 15-20 hours playing you are still fucking level 4. I've read you get like much less Xp on this difficulty so it seems i cannot go to places or completed quests because apparently your level is too low for anything so is it normal to get like 20-80xp for every quest you do on this difficulty or am i supposed to go back in the first area of the game and kill weaker enemies because my level is too low?
Now I am on NG+ on DM, I don't find to be much harder than normal, also I clean an area of quests and ? marks before going to next or main story, most of the time I use only Quen and Igni to kill, I managed to easy kill this way even red skull, you can see on my chanel(tw/yt).

Yeah but i'm not on NG+ so its more difficult and it seems like it can't be done because the lack of experience and i find myself to not even be able to damage the enemies. Really would like an answer to this if i should continue on this difficulty or just start a new game.
I played DM on first playthorugh, before NG+, same feeling to me, but first time I played on normal, this will let you learn how the game "works", if you do most of the quests from one area, you should have enough xp to level up, are few quests that you must come later though, also you must learn to use potions/oils/runse, so on, not just hit with the biggest sword, this is not dark soul type of game.

Yeah i know.. Dark Souls is one of the best games ever made and has an amazing combat system. But Witcher 3 combat system? Its just using pathetic and laughable signs and drinking potions that last 10 seconds i mean what's the point in that?
i'm so glad Dark Souls didn't make you drink potions except Estus Flask might actually throw this game in a garbage bin and start playing Dark Souls or something.
At this point, you think DS it is wow and W3 it is meh, I think the opposite, good we have choices.

Yeah, it seems kinda dumb to me that you play as "The Witcher" who is a badass who lived for hundreds of years? How can he lived so long if he dies from one hit from every enemy in the game? and people say this is how it supposed to be played that you feel like you're the witcher when you die from a one blow. And every little tiny bug is stronger than you. Yeah makes absolute sense. DS is different though your character never claims to be anybody and is just "cursed" to deal with these tough enemies
Well the point of the Witcher is not to be hit. Avoid and parade, they have potion and mutagen to be stronger in many ways. But they aren't gods and a sword in the chest or the head and you die.

If you don't want to be killed too fast, just lower the difficulty and enjoy the game as a fun game. Why complain about something that his design to be difficult ?
I am also pretty sure you never die from one hit as long as you don't burn the steps too fast.

Geralt get killed by a PEASANT in a pogrom before he rides back into the game's trilogy from CDPR.

I've beaten the game on death martch at least 5 times. It's really not that challenging just requires patience in certain fights
Yeah, i actually started a new game from the beginning on Blood and Broken Bones. I'm currently level 12 and it seems like a good difficulty to me if you're playing for the first time. I wouldn't recommend Death March to anyone to start the game. But i'm sure i could handle it now. I was annoyed at first because i heard you get much less XP on this difficulty and when i first came to Velen and all the quests were above my level, i thought you needed to be like much higher level when you get there. Apparently its normal and i didn't know that so i was pissed. Still don't use the potions that grant you 30 second effect on combat BUT apparently you can upgrade those too so maybe on new game plus? Its seems to me like its much better to start off with this difficulty and start NG+ on Death March when you have all the potions and oils ready and upgraded.

And couple of neat tips to anyone playing on higher difficulty:

Put "Arrow Deflection" as one of your first skills in the game it will become very useful because you will deal with a lot of bandits at first two areas and they outnumber you and many of them will shoot you with a crossbow from distance when you are fighting 5 other guys. (And they deal lots of damage and have perfect accuracy)

Also upgrade QUEN for obvious reasons. It will protect you.

Use AXII when dealing with humans you can kill them with one strike if they are about the same level as you are just make sure you don't use it on group of enemies but pick them up one by one. Also upgrade "Delusion" so it will be more effective and grant you special choices in dialogue which will also grant you XP

Use IGNI on Dogs and Wolves its very effective against groups of them and it will instantly kill them or atleast deal lots of damage and leave them open for attacks

Use YRDEN on larger enemies like bears for example and sneak up behind them and use strong attacks on them

Sell the right items to right merchants which will give you more money (which i haven't done)

Those are the things i have learned so far for me atleast. I would like to hear any other good tips if anyone has for this game but those are what i've come up with.
Witcher gear it is the best for me, for bonus and need less repair...
