Dear friends,
An outrageous set of events has happened. I'll briefly explain; Windows ****ed up and I had to format.
However... I just installed Witcher 3 on GOG Galaxy, and surprisingly they *cough* forgot *cough* to add cloud.
So if you are also in this situation that you must format, throw your save games on a usb,
But, this is still not my fault... *cough* GOG *cough* is more considerably responsible, and I don't see any reason they shouldn't add cloud saving. Unless they want to piss people like me off...
Learn from my mistakes
Save your save games, or upload it to one cloud or something. Another mistake to: try and get a windows.old when you format.
Goodbye, this is just stupid. This is why steam is master race.

GoG Galaxy is still in beta, if there's someone to blame here, it's you, for your irresponsibility.
Wait... You assumed a function on a DRM Free game that was not advertised was just there, and you think it's the Dev and distributor's faults?

Ignore the sourpusses,
but yeah I lost my saved files too a few months ago. I kinda regreted not buying the game on Steam cause I had to do another playthrough to try out the NG+ and be ready for the expansion. But let's remember GoG Galaxy is just in beta.

Be sure to vote for this features on http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/cloud_game_saves
Even though I am sure GoG is already working on a cloud system,
have a nice day ;-)

To be fair I did a backup of my current saves on dropbox just to be safe xD
No game needs cloud saving. Its up to the person to take responsibilities to back up there own games. I don't like the idea of single player games having to have a constant internet connection to play.
The savegames are saved on My Documents>The Witcher 3 you copy this and when you reinstall the game, paste on the same folder, voilá!

I like cloud saving. I travel a lot between two places and I don't want to backup the savegames all the time by myself. You don't need a permanent internet connection to play games with cloud saving (at least at Steam). The savegames are stored on your PC and in the cloud and will get uploaded when you close the game. If there is no connection to the internet the savegames will be uploaded the next time when there is a connection to the internet.
Perhaps you are right that no game needs it but if a game/ a service is offering cloud saving I like it. I'm really looking forward when GOG Galaxy offers cloud saving too.

I think cloud saves should be standard for all gaming platforms. Having to hunt down folders and then backing them up is not something everyone is willing to do. Doesn't help that games use different directories for their saves. Having said that, I backup the saves of games with no cloud support to my OneDrive. Hopefully cloud saves are added to Galaxy in the near future (and of course, be optional).
Welp, I'm probably not gonna launch Witcher 3 for a long time, starting over doesn't suit me. Maybe when I pluck up enough s***s to give.
I'd feel sorry for you if you werent such an entitled spoiled brat.

Then again IQ can't be bought, so I guess feeling sorry irregardless it is.

Irony.. posting to insult someone else's IQ, then using the word "irregardless."

I don't like the idea of my stuff being stored onto others people systems. Games or anything. I don't use steam or galaxy or origin. I'm old school I don't mind fiddling with files and folders. And for Onedrive I've removed that nonsense all together. In an ideal world sure its a cool tool. But in a real world its not a cool as you may think. :) I prefer that game companies give a choice. For those who love flying in the clouds and those who prefer staying grounded. ;P

You already have this choice. You don`t need to use cloud saving on Steam or Origin. It is optional and can be enabled or disabled (for each game separately or global) as often as you want. And even if you use cloud saving your data is stored on your PC too. No need to fly in the clouds ;)
