coperphage: Hello All, I just bought the game of the year edition and it says its supposed to have everything armor, items, Hearts of stone etc etc.
I do not see any of the items in game, for example the armor from White Orchard. Has anyone else had this issue ? Am I missing something ?
Which armor are you talking about? You have schematics for upgraded Witcher armor, but you have to craft that. Hearts of Stone becomes available after you leave White Orchard, but I definitely level up as it can be quite difficult. Which "items" specifically are you looking for? There are two Viper School sword schematics hidden in the White Orchard area as well, but you have to find them and have them crafted. Other than that, there are no special White Orchard armors or weapons.
There is a Teremian DLC armor available from the guy you and Vezemir rescue from the griffin, he opens a shop right near the bridge in White Orchard proper. However, at early stages of the game its too expensive, plus you have to be lvl 7 to wear it. The Quartermaster at Crows Perch sells the Nilf DLC armor and the Kaer Trolde armorer sells the Skellige DLC armor. They're all decent, but not as good as the Witcher schools armors. Just pick up armor from chests, etc and wear the best you find.
Early game, pick up EVERYTHING and sell it. Note: Armorers pay more for armor, weaponsmiths pay more for swords.
