Hey there

When i launch the game, i don't get any further than to the copyright screen, the very first thing you see, when you launch the game. It completely freezes and i'm forced to shut it down with Task Manager.

I've tried everything i could think of. Reinstalling the game, running as administrator, updated drivers and GOG launcher and reinstalled DirectX, but nothing helps. Can someone help please?

List your hardware and operating system.

Then it sounds like something on your system is locking the game from starting, and it's a good bet that it's either a driver issue (sound maybe?) or more likely a security software like antivirus. Try disabling any security software, and close any and all non-critical programs.

Do you have any "overlay" application starting with your game? Like afterburner that showing you FPS or maybe windows 10 xbox overlay(gamebar)? Fraps?

It is confirmed that windows 10 gamebar can cause some startup crashes or freezes. Try disabling this service.

Try to disable Game Overlay in GOG Galaxy:
1. Launch GOG Galaxy and log in with your GOG.com account
2. Go to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt tab
3. Click MORE > CONFIGURE > DLCS INSTALLED > deselect GAME OVERLAY

If there is no such feature, then start GoG Galaxy and go to Galaxy Settings -> Features. There you will see "In-Game Overlay". Disable it.
