removing gforce experience make game not crash ?
The same problems occured for many people with Witcher 2 (crashes to desktop without error, crashes when opening inventory, freezes), and the suggested solutions were almost the same like in this thread and on the GOG support sites. None of them worked for me, although they helped to increase the time between the crashes. And now I have the same problems with Witcher 3. My system hasn't changed much since then (Win7 64 bit, i7 3930K@3,4 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD7970 with 3GB VRAM), there are only 2 differences:

1) In the meantime the AMD drivers have evolved from Catalyst 12.x to Omega 15.x. So I'm afraid new drivers still won't fix the issue, especially when AMD- and NVIDIA-users experience the same problems. Of course, perhaps it's only the same outcome but different reasons. In this case I'm really fucked up ^^
2) I have the Witcher 2 on Steam and Witcher 3 on GOG, so I think it has nothing to do with the plattform.

My best guess is that it's some sort of software conflict between a part of the game engine and something else, perhaps a monitoring tools from a specific vendor like the AI suit from ASUS or a specific task/service which causes the problems.
I've already deactivated a bunch of tools but still the game crashes about every 15 minutes.
So my approach would be to compare what programms/processes in the background we all have in common, with a focus on the tools which came with your hardware.
I'll start with a screenshot from my currently running processes. Perhaps someone sees anything out of the ordinary which is also running at his computer (besides the usual windows crap).

EDIT: Mh, can't attach any pictures at the moment...perhaps too new?

Some framerate issues near Crow's Perch. The game crashed here as well eventually. No errors whatsoever. I'm running a GTX 970 and i7-4790K!
game crashed after i go in my inventory, windows task manager say witcher 3 no response
I just encountered the issue where the game will minimize and can not be re-opened(audio still playing in the Bg, etc...).

It seems at that same time I had a reply from the forums. I saw a post earlier where someone was suggesting that maybe that's part of the reason.

So I'll try to stay off the forums for a day or so and see if I still get these random 'minimizing crashes'
My game sometimes crashes as well. sometimes it will just close to desktop, no errors or nothing. Other times it locks up when I'm in the inventory menu and have to open up the task manager to exit the game. There really is no time frame between crashes, sometimes it crashes 5 minutes into the game and other times I can play a good amount of time before a crash or no crashes at all during a play session.
Removed my CPU and GPU OC, so far so good... but I've been fooled before.
Had the problem with the freezing after a few minutes, the longest period without it were 6 minutes.
The solution for me was the aforementioned reduction of the gpu clock as all other suggestions failed.
After implementing it I was able to play for ~3 hours without problems.

System:
Win 7
Intel i5 3550
8GB RAM
Asus 670 DirectCU II
Sounds terrible, I'm glad I'm waiting to buy it. Learned my lesson on Ass Creed 3, and it hurt.

Confirming after 12 hours, no crash with GTA 5 game ready driver and default memory clock while I'm keeping my core speed on 1550mhz @ gtx970 msi.
*Reposting*

My radomly crashes was fixed doing this:

1) Whitelist witcher executable in the RivatunerStatisticsServer
2) Nvidia panel: Maximum performance in the witcher tab
3) Unlimited FPS in the game options
4) Distance Foliage set High in the game (the other options in ultra)
5) Bonus: For the hairworks there is a "fix" in rendering.ini -> set HairWorksAALevel=2 (ultra is 8 I think)

No more crashes even in the Inventory screen.

Intel I7 + 16Gb Ram + Nvidia GTX 970 (MSI) with latest drivers

Hope this helps you.

Good Luck guys :)
I have issue with crashing to desktop, no error. One second I'm walking around, next... BAM! it's desktop baby. I'm still in first village, I don't get much time to play, and most of that time I spent tweaking graphic settings, did the no chrome thing, no other apps/process thing. No progress so far. Crashes are random, happen in few minutes or sometimes more, even close to hour, usualy happens when I scamper around first village (I did the bar thing, now I need to talk to Nilfgardians).

System:
CPU: i5-2500K //no OC
RAM: 8GB
GPU: Asus GTX 560Ti 1GB //no OC
Drivers: Witcher 3 latest ones.

Note: I know 560Ti is slightly below minimum, but those specs are BS anyhow. In any case my GPU can run game fine enough for me, and also I read comment somewhere where someone says it's getting decent game exeprience with it, no issues reported.

The game crashes left and right with AMD cards as well.
Oh yeah, this crashes a lot and none of suggested fixes helped me. I guess thats what I get from buying crap on launch day, additional months of polishing my ass... no way I will buy Cyberpunk on launch day after this bullcrap...
+1 It crashes for me too, thats more a freeze but I can't close it nor display task manager to shut the process down.....only one solution : reboot computer.
