Hi.
Same for me.
Display driver stopped responding and has recovered with new driver and 350.12 on Gigabyte GTX 970 Gaming.
Help me: i going back to NVIDIA 345.20 Driver. Now without crashes, playing 1 Hour...
I had some framerate drops and a few crashes in the first 20 minutes (GTX 980). However, I went into geforce experience and hit optimize. A couple hours of playing since then and I haven't had any crashes, nor noticed any framedrops, which is strange, since optimize turned on extra settings that were off or turned down. It didn't lower or turn off anything. It could just be a coincidence, like it had trouble loading things into vram or memory, but once it had everything it was fine, or something.

I did that, plus I installed the DirectX .exe inside the game directory, in the redist. folder. I then optimized from nvidia experience. Once in game, I turned everything back up , except for hairworks, and didn't get a crash.

I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think it's either hairworks causing the crash, or the setting that limits framerate, cause it's literally turning my monitor into standby mode, when it crashes.
I have hairworks on, and the 60 fps limit, so I don't think it is one of those alone. It could be a combination of things, and anything altered from that combination gets rid of the crashing.
Lot of freezing in this game - seems to happen at different resolutions/settings as well. I think the new nvidia drivers are not that good either.
Same here :( gtx970 with latest drivers.
Same here
Tried all the solutions from the support site. The game still crashes to desktop...
Please fix

Win7, i7 860, GTX660TI 352.86, 12GB RAM, Using Mouse/Keyboard controls

I also freeze quite often.... have to sign out to close all apps and get the window to shut...
The same problem...

After a few minutes of playing game crashes with 4101 error nvlddmkm. I have the newest graphic drivers 352.86. This is so annoying. I tried lowering all settings to minimum, diffrent combinations of resolutions, v-sync and frame limitter. Also diffrent settings in nvidia panel, but nothing seems to help. Any advice?

Specs:
GTX 660 Ti
i7 3770K
16 GB HyperX 1600
Had this problem a few times too, and now it keeps happening at the same place over and over which is preventing me from progressing.

The screen goes black and I'm kicked to the desktop, but I can still hear the game running in the background like normal, but can't go back to it.

i5 3570k
GTX970 - 352.86
8GB RAM
Windows 7 64bit

All settings maxed out except foliage distance and hairworks off.

Edit: Well, I made it through the part I was stuck on by putting the game into fullscreen mode. I'll let you know if it crashes again at some point.

Kind of the same thing for me.
Though it always crashes in the same place. If I try to get close to that first village (when you're riding with Vesemir just at the start) it instantly crashes without any error messages.

So I literally can't begin playing.

Has anyone tried switching from borderless to fullscreen? Helped me and some others, but not everyone. Other things I changed was to go unlimited frames in the options; I have a GTX 980, and it just wants to run. No use throttling a beast like that. :)

A series of fixes are being posted in other gamer communities, which includes running the distros in the W3 game folder (DirectX and Visual Basic or whatever). It did update my DirectX, and also repaired my VB. Mostly smooth running now for the moment.

Hope the fullscreen thing helps. Post back if it didn't so we get the devs to see the patterns.

Ok I thought that this is problem only for my GPU since couple months ago. Exactly that is happening and in other games. Nothing helps. Do you have Dual Monitor setup ? Because I do and I think that something is fcking up from GTX970 vram. If you go at event viewer and you check you will see that nvidia drivers stopped working and they've been recovered which is error for slow sending picture from gpu to monitor including vram faults.

I think its random and related only to some gtx970's. Also I thought that its my overclock but again I was wrong.

Same problem here, but I crash randomly (not every 10mn or 1h).

Most of the time, I get the following error "Nvidia Driver has crashed and has been restored [...]" it happens in every graphics preset, borderless fullscreen or not.

It's looks like the Frostbite Engine issue (Battlefield and Dragon Age for example) wich the game crash if your GPU is Overclocked. So tried to downclock with MSI Afterburner, no crash at the moment. Someone can confirm?

PS: Sorry for bad english, it's not my native language. :)
