I have Witcher 3 NVidia driver, game will flash and go black, then drop to desktop, no error, anyone else? Has happened four times and counting. TY

- Nvidia GTX 970 (ver driver 350.12);
- Core i7-2600

I've had 1 crash in 4 hours. It was during the cut scene when Geralt wakes from his nightmare near the begging. Running latest Nvidia and GTX 970.

Same here, after 5-10 Minutes playing, video crashed back to desktop, sounds running further.
Once killing with Taskmanager possible.
Videocarddriver NVIDIA actually, MB Driver act., Sound act.
Other Games NO Problems, System is clean.
Intel i7 3770 on Gigabyte MB Z77 D3H with 16 GB RAM and GTX 770. WIN 7 / 64

Error in Systemevent is: nvlddmkm

The display driver "nvlddmkm" unresponsive and has been restored.

Same here! Freezing or crashing. I have an intel i5 4690k and a GTX 970 with the latest nvidia Witcher 3 driver.

Some say disabling HBAO+ and Nvidia Hairworks prevents it, but I still getting crashes.

Same here - been running the game in fullscreen the whole time and have had 5 or 6 crashes to desktop in the 3 hours I have played. It doesn't seem to be cut scene triggered but has happened during them.


i5-3570K
GTX 560TI SLI
8GB RAM

There is a new Nvidia driver 352.86 released on the 18th... its working well for me, give that a try, game has been smooth and with no issues... it is game ready for the Witcher 3. Hope that helps

That is the driver I am using. I want to do a roll back and see if that helps, but I don't want to lose SLI optimization.

Trying:
Rollback to previous Driver -> crashes
Graphics to minimum -> crashes
Post to minimum -> crahses
Fullscreen and other Options -> crashes
uninstall Avast -> crashes
Update DirectX und Framework -> crashes

smashing PC through the Windows.... not eyt :-)
