Ive been having a fustrating time trying to get witcher 3 to use the import save from witcher 2

It can find the file with no problem. It just does not work. Let me explain How i know:

in witcher 2 i chose iorveth path, therefor the horse in witcher 3 should be iorveth. instead its roach.....

Ive tried to eliminate the issues by having the only the save file at the end of the game in the gamesaves. Uninstall and reinstall gog galaxy and witcher games. All the witchergames I have are gog only BTW. Short of making another user with admin and doing what it says in FAQ on forums im at my wits end. And i dont think that will work

Not sure if its a windows 10 issue since i do have that OS or something else.... Help please........

Excuse me... what? Since when does Geralt call his horse 'Iorveth'? He has called every single horse he has owned 'Roach'. The horse has absolutely nothing to do with the path you choose in W2. I have a sneaking suspicion that you are muddled up with Iorveth/Vernon Roche of the Temerian Special Forces. That being said, the path you choose in W2 (Iorveth vs Roche) does not matter: Iorveth makes no appearance in W3, but Roche does. Your save is almost certainly working if it imported.
Vernon Roche is male. Roach, Geralt's mare - is female.
