Hello everyone,

When I start Witcher 2, I'm struck by the camera, which is IMO far better than W3 one.
It is closer to Geralt, and it is lowest. The result is that you see the world from an human perspective, with an human height. It makes me feel far more immersed in the world because the camera could be my own eyes.
In Witcher 2, when you walk in a village, you see houses from below; in Witcher 3, from a higher point of vue which doesn't exist in reality.

In Witcher 3 the huge distance between the camera and Geralt make me consider Geralt, and the world he crosses, like something more distant and foreign. Il feel less being Geralt and I feel less, at least, being in the world myself. I have more the impression to be and outside observer, a ghost following Geralt in this beautiful world, from above and by far.

Obviously these are my personal impressions.
What do you guys feel about that?

Personally, the camera was better than both in the original The Witcher.
Apparently the second game's perspective gave some people motion sickness, which is probably why they changed it.

Can't say I have a preference either way.

Oh I didn't know that.

So, I'm apparently the only one who prefer W2 camera =/
I have no trouble with W3 camera. I did have issues with W2 camera not allowing me to see all that I needed to see. A matter of taste I guess :) What I will complain about is that hit and blood spill sounds were better in Witcher 2. Heavy and meaty.

You could try being constantly overburdened. The camera shifts and becomes really similar to the one in Witcher 2 :P

Well I prefer to watch my character from Witcher 3's perspective, so I can gaze my eyes upon that beautiful Cat armor :)
