Pro-tipp towards CDPR/GOG: On release day and during patch releases, there should be a couple of servers to download from. -.-

In all likelihood there's a significantly number of players all trying to download this patch at once, and it's putting a strain on the servers. I feel your pain - my own download frequently drops down to only a few kilobytes/second, but you're probably going to need patience in this case. Server can only handle so much.


Also if there were a protective custody for punctuation I would call them on you, because that is nothing short of abuse.

Yes, it is currently very slow, but according to the changelog there's nothing major was fixed. But who am I to judge? Look for yourself:

Improves stability in gameplay and the UI
Improves performance especially in cutscenes and gameplay
Fixes grass and foiliage popping that can occur after density parameters change
Improves Nvidia Hairworks performance
Boosted texture anisotropy sampling to 16x on Ultra preset
Sharpen Postprocess settings extended from Off/On to Off/Normal/High
Improves menu handling
Improves input responsiveness when using keyboard
Corrects an issue with stamina regeneration while sprinting
Fixes a cursor lock issue that sometimes occcurs when scrolling the map
Generally improves world map focus
Corrects a bug where player was able to fire bolts at friendly NPCs
Corrects an issue in dialog selections
Corrects some missing translations in the UI
Minor SFX improvements -Blood particles will now properly appear after killing enemies on the water

If none of these look important to you, just cancel the update and enjoy the game. Update it later.

Aborted and downloaded from gog. It's twice as small anyway. Game patched ok. Galaxy tried to update anyway sometimes, and I needed to hit abort. Now it says server problem. Once said not authorized, as if I don't have the game. Fun times.

Yeah, you're right! Around 0.5 MB/s for me and yes it's only 271 MB.

You can download the patch directly from GoG.com, it's only 270MB and fast. But Galaxy still wants to download some 640MB, so yeah, they need to sort it out.

I just put disabled the auto updates for the time being. It seems that it's better to download patches directly from the site for now.

Hey Guys, my download speed is not even going up to 0.2 mb's. Its just sick how slow.
Thats not all, i've also a 'failed' error after 2 mins...
Please fix something, I just bought it like you guys AND WE WANT TO PLAY! :|

I get "Not Authorized" as well when attempting to update, or verify.
