After visiting the preorder page for Witcher 3 there are still displays of those beautiful screen shots. After seeing all the evidences of downgrade, shouldn't those screen shots be changed to how the game currently looked? Is this not misleading or false advertising?

Why don't you wait until the 19th, max the game out, enable the uber settings, and only then talk about evidences of downgrade?
From what i have read, the downgrade can be removed, but they said they put it there because only ultra highend systems could run it, even then it gave bad fps, so they turned it off by default.

If you want to get a bad performance, but a good looking game, change the settings, but i am betting you would complain about that, instead of the looks of the game.....people tend to complain no matter what.

It's said 2013 trailers were in-engine and not pre-rendered, so they must've had some hardware back then to run it smoothly. Or am I missing something and it's possible to make nice and smooth in-engine video even with low fps?
Maybe you can imagin that parts of the trailers where captured in "part" version and not the full game?
Also CD Project MIGHT have some hardware you do not have ;) get a 5000 € BattleBox from Nividia and you will run Witcher 3 in 4k on "complete" graphics... but the normal gamer will NOT have this kind of hardware on the background... CD Project and other developers might have such systems for things like Promo videos etc....
I believe movies are done in like 15 or 25fps...right? a game is not playable at 15fps, maybe not even playable at 25fps......so i am thinking it was a video of some sort, but i am not picky about appearances, i am more concerned about gameplay and story.
