Darn I love that game. 320 hours and counting. During recent play sessions I encountered the following issues:

- While riding on Roach, usually on roads and streets, Roach sometimes hits an invisible barrier. Unmounting the horse usually does the trick. I once floated next to roach mid air after trying to jump over the "barrier", which forced me to re-load
- Occasional graphical glitches
- Floating objects and enemies in the Skellige region (mostly at sea or close to shore).

Nothing game breaking, but I'd love to see a patch some day adressing a few of the remaining issues.

Everything you are describing sounds like a corrupt installation. If you're using Galaxy, verify/repair your installation after removing any mods.
Development of The Witcher 3 has seized, and no patches are coming.

One can only use mods for the fixes
there are bugs with the game but development has seized. cdpr spent most of the support phase tweaking and adding stuff. they should have had a point where they stopped features and focused on bugs only. that said, there are some bugs that exist since release and even after submitting extensive bug reports about them, supported by other users and different hardware, they were still unable to reproduce and fix them. even though some of the bugs were very similar to witcher 2. still, they're nothing game breaking and can still be enjoyed

It's a brand new installation, as I recently ran into issues witht my gaming PC and decided to swap the harddrive. No mods installed.

I think it might be a good idea for a game like Wild Hunt, which still sells like hotcakes by the way, to receive bugfixes and performance improvements every once in a while. Blizzard does it. And CDPR rocks as much as Blizzard does, if not more so.

Regardless, you're still describing symptoms of a corrupt installation. If you use Galaxy try to verify your install.

i used firefox's spell checker. i installed the gb version but the auto updates seem to revert to the us, so i've just given up.
Thanks Hickory for the grammar fix.

But what OP describes really does not sound like corrupt install to my ears. But vanilla bugs, there are bridges, cracks in the road, and some invisible blockages in where Roach stops.

The game is full of graphical glitches here and there, most of them are minor. But there are eagle eyes that spot these kind of things.

And it is well known that skellige waters have floating algae, some trees, atleast.

I try to fix these issues, but it's super hard because CDPR never released proper editors... Basically just texture extractor and a mesh extractor that doesn't work 100%
