After you tell the Bloody Baron where his wife is, that little jester man breaks into the room and makes some noise and is dragged out.
Do we see him again? Is he a side quest? I looked for him after but failed to find him.

Don't worry about Uma now, you will definitely know when it's time to deal with it. Uma turns out to be real important in the story later on.

No, he's an important element of the main quest.
