So I just finished a pretty important part of the story and I won't ruin too much by describing it.

But suffice it to say after the event I get a chance to carry out some revenge by hunting down a character named Imlerith. During the conversation, I really want to just agree with Ciri and fight Imerlith. I don't really want to say "Yeah but..." to her and demand we go visit Emperor instead (for story / character reasons).

If I just follow Ciri's lead and go get Im, will I have another chance later to take her to Emhyr? Or is this the ONLY shot I get at bringing her to the Emperor?

This is the only shot you get. It has major consequences for the ending, so choose wisely.

If you just follow her lead and your relationship with Ciri is supportive/friendly, she will travel with Geralt as a Witcher after the Wild Hunt and the White Frost has been defeated. This is the 'happy' ending.

If you take her to see her father, she will go to Nilfgaard and become empress. This is the 'good', bittersweet ending.
