So I'm at the point where I have to prepare to leave town with Vesemir, and he's standing next to the Inn's entrance. But whenever I try to speak with him the only option that appears is the one about how it's been a year since they've been at Vorune. Apparently he should be waiting inside the Inn, drinking. But he's not. So I can't continue with the story, and all my previous saves have the same issue.
Crossing fingers balls and toes for a dev to give me an answer, thanks.

I'm not at that point yet. How many hours in game play have you done?

Maybe if you are not that far in, just restart new game? Or you can wait for dev response but how long will that be.

Hopefully someone else have solution for you.

I'm, story wise, 1:30 hours, 2 maybe. But I've done all the side quests of the area, explored all the "?" from the map and got some nasty loot. I've been thinking about starting all over again but I still have some little hope.

Yes it's a bug. He appears as my current objective on the mini map, also I've checked on a YouTube video that did a walkthrough of the same mission, and it proceeded without any issues, Vesemir was waiting inside the Inn instead of outside, and a cutscene triggered.

This is probably a stupid question but I assume you killed a certain monster, and took its "trophy" to the Nilfgaardian garrison?

I read your post and just literally got to that part and past it with no problem. Check your quests just to make sure you completed that one. If you already have then totally disregard my reply.

I may just check out your save and post back in a few and see whats up.

I just looked at your gamesave and it appears you are correct. I didnt personally have this problem, but he is outside of the inn like he was the first time you come back. Dont really know what to say other than it appears something went wrong somewhere.

Ya, a bug, no matter how you look at it. Hope the devs get to check it.

I ran into a similar problem with the Missing In Action side quest but it's not game breaking. The dog, Hussar, became stuck next to a shield after sniffing it. After walking around a bit and finding the very shield that will trigger the next phase of the mission I have to look blindly around in the new search area because the dog is still stuck in the previous place. I finally found the brother's foot marks and followed them to a hidden hut. The Witcher Sense showed the audio clue of a dog snarling at the door where it should be while the dog is still stuck next to shield way back in the battlefield.

The ingame cutscene appeared and I can continue on. Unfortunately I need to constantly save to avoid bugs like this.

So I guess we'll have to wait for patch 1.03.

I have also run into another bug regarding the dirty funds quest.

I have the letter in my inventory and the quest tells me to read it. I have read it 1000 times but the quest will not advance. It isnt really "story breaking" by any means, but it is bothering me that I cant move the quest to completed.

Who did they get to beta test this game anyways?!?

It appears that if you do things out of some sequence there is a higher chance the quest bugs out. The dirty funds is a perfect example where if you get the money before the letter it glitches the quest. Most likely the testers always followed the sequence (poor testing method) and this is why it worked.

Have you tried meditating? Then save on a new slot, then reload it? I don't know. It could work.

I think you are correct, because I believe I did loot the items for this quest before actually reading the note to start the step by step method of activating this quest.

No that method does not work (at least for me). I dont even know if it would work for anyone else. My slight OCD tendencies make it almost unbearable to not be able to have the quest under the completed category. So it mostly relates to preference.

I don't even have the letter no more, so i got stuck on "read the letter you found", pretty anoying. Let me know if someone finds a solution.
