Clearly donnylad does not understand the bigger picture.

Whatever opinion we might have of witcher or its publisher they treat us as grown ups, intelligent people and let us do what we want. You want to download illegal copies? Go ahead they released drm free product. You know why they did something like that? Why no other publisher will do it?

They did it because they KNOW their product is of high quality and its quality will make people buy it. Right before the release game had over 1,5 milion pre orders !! can you imagine that? 1.5 milion people trusted CDP Red based on trailer, screen shots and previews...

I will bet you they will sell another 1.5 milion copies after the release. I had a chance to play a game for 5 minutes at my friends, i must say the quality of graphics, open world and loot fest is impressive. Size of the map scares me a bit.

Think about torrents as another form of marketing. Having made such a wonderful product, even those who torrent it, they will buy it once they see what's in front of them.

So this is the first time you actually buy a game ? You didnt care when it was your parents paying ??? So yeah it's been around since forever and you cant do anything about it....Ive also purchase the game with MY own money and torrents are ok if your not sure and wanna test the game a bit before buying......i have 600+ games on steam and yeah sometimes i also check em out before...and great things torrents are there because some game are just trash and you spend your money for nothing....now go tell your mom and dad how much you preciated when they were buying your games :P

However we don't have the right to go to another country and say 'your morals arent ours, so your wrong. We're going to force you to change'. Export: I agree with this. I've been in several forums today and it's 90% "the game keeps crashing on PC" and "this game runs like crap on my i7, 16GB, 970 PC", then partly certain issues like passing a turn in the Gwent game causing the game to crash on PS4 (I had this too) and myself and some other players have also had a problem where the game won't update past 1.01. I've also had the quite funny but also disappointing thing of Geralt's buddy Vesemir riding along on an invisible horse.

All in all its okay for me on PS4 but the PC version sounds like it could turn out to be a disaster for you, some people saying it's crashing every 10-15 mins or so.
There is a simple easy fix for that.

No is being enslaved or killed here. Oppressions is not the same as copying.
Also, stealing is permitted in the Abrahamic belief system (Christian, Muslims and Jews). It might seem odd but it's part of the culture that's allowed depending on the conditions.

My point is the problem is much deeper rooted than you think. We think differently about stealing a song compared to an Eastern citizen who feels they're enjoying/honoring the fruits of their fellow man by listening to a pirated song. Think of it this way: Our society DYFS is on your back for spanking kids. In their society it's ok.

You do realize that because of piracy some companies are not even porting to the PC. They are console only. Thats what pirates will eventually get you. No games to play at all.

Just to add my 5 cents, guys.

I'am about to pirate Witcher 3 just to make sure it runs on my laptop (have doubts apparently).
If it does - purchasing it definitely.

Didn't read the whole thread, hope someone already mentioned such use of torrents.

I've actually stumbled upon this thread because I was looking for one. I'm getting a copy of the game tomorrow (my birthday is on the 1st and it is my present), my PC doesn't have an optical drive so I'll have to resort to downloading it. I work most of the day so I'd like to do it today rather than tomorrow, since I'd rather not have my broadband completely devoured during the weekend.

So that is a thing. But since I can't find a gog version of the download (only updates) I guess I'll have to sit around with the copy of the game on my lap for the weekend.

Just go out, and buy a usb optical drive. You can have one for under 20.
