mcgeehe: Upgrade your saddle bags, it lets Geralt carry more. The first upgrade brings you up to 90 carry weight.

I don't belive there is a Storage chest like in TW1/2, if there is I haven't found it after 35hrs.
Yeah, there is really good saddlebags in the shop at putrid grove. Up to 160 weight.

TearOfTheStar: Is there any way to stash things? It's like every rpg have this option in the way of house or chest.

I have like 59\60 alchemical\crafting ingredients and i don't want to sell it.
In this game, alchemy ingredients can't burden you, they are too light. Other things like armors and weapons are heavy, weighting between 1 and 20 (lb or kg, I don't remember). Don't worry about that, just buy good saddlebags in Novigrad when you have the chance.

I have 54kg\lb of alchemical\crafting ingredients and books. :D So...
Wait, so there's no stash to store all those books you accumulate? They may not weigh much but it would be good to be able to organise and tidy your inventory somewhere.

Agreed. Even though the saddle bags work well enough, I'd still like to get things out of my inventory and into a stash box. Just to keep things tidy.

Edit: Ya that's correct, as of now, no storage boxes or anything. Adding a house for Geralt would be great!

This was also a problem for a long time in DA:Inquisition but they finally did add a storage chest there in your home base. This feature just seems like such a obvious thing to have added to a game such as this it baffles me how it wasn't when they got just about everything else right.

Hopefully it will arrive soon enough either in some DLC or patch.

Witchers have Kaer Morhen. Witchers do not buy houses and do not live amongst people. That would be immersion breaking. What I would suggest is having some tabs in the inventory and maybe making the horse a mobile, separate chest.

Ok then it would be nice to stash stuff in Kaer Morhen... I have an OCD to collect unique-looking stuff and the limited inventory forces me to sell off stuff :(. It's a fantasy game dammit so gimme a bag of holding or a perma-stash like Pillars of Eternity.

Ah yes I forgot about that detial. Then ya, having a stash box on the horse it self would be the best solution.

If Geralt could set up camp to do things like; shave, manage storage, cook and sleep - that would be pretty neat.
Kaer Morhen will be a perfect place for a stash. But you can't travel there sadly. :(

Sell off alchemal ingredients. All potions and grenades only need to be created once. You only need to meditate after that to get them replenished. No need for more ingredients (other than maybe alcohol, but I am never run out of it to know). For a safety net for future potions I haven't encountered, I keep at least 5 of each ingredient; sell off the rest.

Weapons, bolts, and armor are a different story, but usually if you are out of a material, you can buy it at the blacksmith, or find a way to make it with by dismantling or crafting to get the materials you need. Still, crafting new weapons doesn't happen too frequently to need a large stock.

I do recommend, at least by my strategy, to hoard any food items. I find them to be way more useful than the Swallow potion since you can use more than 3 at a time. Find a patch of deer an get your crossbow out, or start raiding the oblivious townspeople.

I also have a large 70+ saddle bags. I usually never get more than 2/3 full.

I can't figure why they haven't yet addressed this problem with having a place for Geralt to store things at like they had done in TW 2. After all then I would be able to clear out some of these ingridents and and other things that are to high a level for me to use currently as well as the books. Been reading and selling them. Anyone know what the max carry weight even with the saddle bags is? So far I've gotten plus 70 to my carry weigfht.

Why not have a storage box at the bank or at inns, how is that for your immersion?
