Hi, guys.

Has any of you experienced sudden power outage of your PC while playing Witcher 3? I had this power failures during cinematics and random occurences during the game. Im for the life of mem can't figure out what goes wrong.

It's definitely overheating, close to melting down i will say. CPU's are designed to power off only when under very extreme temperatures, like 90+ degrees Celsius (194+ Fahrenheit).
Check the dust like he said. Re-apply thermal grease to cpu, if need be. And by the love of all you hold dear, make sure the fans are working properly and nothing blocks their rotation.

One or more of: power supply, CPU, graphics card. Overheating, or possibly in the process of failing outright.

If you haven't run any demanding games before, a power supply that's simply insufficient to handle the system running at full load is another possibility.

This would be my first suspicion as well. If your power supply is old, low quality, or has insufficient power to handle the peak power draw of your video card during full load, this could certainly be the cause. The video card alone can draw up to 250 watts under full load, so it's really a good idea to make sure you have at least a 500 watt power supply minimum for gaming. Also keep in mind that as a power supply ages, the amount of power it can deliver declines. If you have an OEM build PC, it also most likely has a lower quality power supply and a lower quality power supply, isn't always able to deliver a consistent supply of power at their advertised rating either. This is something I would definitely check, in addition to checking for overheating.

From my experience this is generally caused by three things:

1) CPU overheating - new thermal paste usually fixes this. You can check temps with software like hardware monitor.

2) Game installed on a bad hard drive sector - re installation preferably in a different partition fixed it.

3) Hardware failure - nothing much you can do about this one other than work out what is failing.

make sure the power supply unit has enought juice to fully power your graphic card (power _watts recommended to be fully operational
also check how much power is used for fan system and other devices that feeds power from your power supply unit

Monitor the temperatures. If they're alright, it's likely the PSU that can't handle the load. You never know though from afar.

It could also be the Power supply. Did you upgrade your Graphics card or CPU If so the power supply may be struggling and causing surges. So check to see the power requirements of your computer and make sure your supply can handle it. I had the same problem when I switched my CPU&Card.

Even a good power supply unit can fail if it's old enough. I had a PC that was 6 year old and the power rails had deteriorated somewhat. From time to time the system would hard-restart without warning. Once that started happening more often than twice a week, it was time for a replacement.
