So GOG have made a big thing about having a 30day refund policy, well guess what it's BS. I physically can't play the game because of the games screwing over left handed mice (again) and none rebindable keys. So i requested a refund. IMO it's justifiable, since i can't play the damn game. Only GOG reply is tough shit, go tell CD Red, or we can give you store credit.

So yeah, so much for a friendly 30 day refund policy. Normally i'd let it slide, since i don't really buy games here, or for that much. I specifically bought Witcher 3 here because of that refund policy, which should have covered me against being screwed over by the developer.

Guess GOG is all about the $$ in the end. Time to call the credit card company and recover it that way

Don't forget to delete the game files from your PC.

And the hidden installation files also...

Or maybe format your PC so they can be sure you will not scam them for money even though you will keep playing the game after some patch for left handed butt hurt people will arrive.

It's not bs. They return money if your machine meats minimum requirements, but cannot be installed. You can even play it. I understand your concern, a lot of people are complaining at the moment about this key binding issue. But this is not the case here, you can play the game, it's just inconvenient for you.
Hi Sorry to hear you are having problems, being left handed if know it can be a issue.

but please check out this link has some instructions on how to change the key bindings i have not looked at it but if the data for keys is there then finger crossed you can change mouse input to possibly

http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/movement_keybindings_fail/post10

Sorry i can not be more help.

Well I expect these cases don't really legally qualify for a refund as such a store credit is a pretty nice gesture of goodwill imo.
I think I saw a post somewhere here which says you can rebind keys in the config file.

The problem is you cannot rebind certain keys as they are hardcoded, I can imagine it being a pain in the arse for a left handed person. Regardless, I wouldn't consider this a valid reason for a refund or a CC dispute and (just a heads up from someone working in the UK financial services industry) your credit card company will agree with me.

So if it's JUST inconvenient for him, for whom else should it be convenient then? If it is inconvenient for him, it seems he can't actually play - enjoy - be happy about the game, right?. I mean, wtf?

@Jumbik suck a nut. The game is UNPLAYABLE it's not about being but hurt, it's about accessability. My mate has a deformed hand, he was born with it. Is he being but hurt because he can't play it and wants a refund as well? If CD REd ever patched it (unlikely since they never patched the Witcher 2) i'd rebuy it in a heart beat.

@Green.Anger, no i can't play the game right now. I don't have a right handed mouse, and i don't see why i should have to buy one just to play a game. Especially when it's uncomfortable to use. Same with the key rebinding, it's an accessability issue

@ZalasFears tried dosent work

@Reaper as i said it dosent work, and yes it legaly qualifies, since it's an accessibility issue. But meh, i've already started the process to recover it through the bank. No way im taking a £60 hit for a game thats unplayable
I agree with what being said here, but added to that, if u knew it might cause a problem, u should'v contact them before and ask if money refund is an option in case of game not being suitable for left-handed people, if its such a big deal.
Plus they're willing to give u store credit and they can't really check if u'll delete the game.

Why not try as people say adjusting the mouse by 3rd party program that swap mouse buttons ?

I was telling from legal point of view. Read others' posts, you'll see the same. "It's JUST inconvenient" is what he will hear from the banks and maybe GOG. You can tell them "WTF", but it will not get you refund.

Any reason, why you don't use a Gamepad?
@YrdenNerf shouldnt have been an issue, and couldn't be checked till the game launched as there were no PC reviews PRIOR to the launch. Which should have been a red flag. I also shouldn't be forced to have to use a 3rd party program to play a game, it's something that almost every other game on the planet has.

As for store credit, they shouldn't make a big thing about a 30 Day refund policy if they're not gonna honor it. Simple as that

1) Don't own one at the moment
2) Don't see why i should be forced to use on on a PC

No it doesn't qualify mate. What happens is you will get your money back from your bank by default after the first 24 hours, but then they will contact CDPR to ask them about the details of the purchase. No one will ask about you being left handed or unable to re-bind controls on your keyboard, it is completely unrelated from the bank's perspective, and in the end the bank will re-claim the money from your credit card.

Here's a better idea: Try to appeal to CDPR to give you a refund on the grounds you just mentioned. Or wait a couple days like average people do when something is not working out of the box until it gets fixed.

I totally agree - since I got the same issue, razer deathadder left-hand edition in my case, can't remap primary mouse buttons, annoys the hell out of me when playing since I don't freaking know which button I should press at which point - partially you can remap, however some part's aren't considered about that = confusing as hell. That being said, it's the only one game of 110 I got in the Steam Lib that has this kind of Issue. No left-handed people played the game?
I hate comments like this one; why the freak would i buy a PC game to use a game pad. Why can't company who sell PC games actually write a real PC interface ? If I wanted to play a console game I would buy a console.
-
And no I am not left handed but this interface is not what I would call a good pc interface. I wish they had spent 1/2 as much on graphics and actually developed a real pc interface. At Larian knows how to develop a real pc interface for their pc games.
