What do you have to do to scare this bloke?
Witcher senses only show 3 things in the area:
A fire, that I can extinguish & ignite
The stand with his cooking pots, that I can do nothing with.
A hornets nest, that I can do nothing with.

Are these 2nd two items bugged? or is there something you have to do first, before you can interact with them?

Hello its not bugged just complete myself.
here whats i do
1use telekinetic blast on hornets nest,
2 light the fire when he gets over to get the warm light fire off.
3 when he sleep use telekinetic blast cooking pots hope its help you with the quest.

Yes, it's all about timing.
When I got back, my witcher senses didn't highlight anything in red, so I thought I might have been in trouble.
I had previously tried to cast ard on them & got a message like "you can't attack that"
So you have to do the hornets nest while he's sitting on the rock,
Cooking pots while he's sleeping, & fire while he's warming his hands.
Thanks again.

The wild hunt has just attacked Kaer Morhan , so I'd better get back to it.
