I left this quest to start the "Blood and Wine" DLC. I have finished and have now returned to finish this quest. BUT I cannot get into the garden since the gate will not open? I don't have any saves from this part of the game. I have tried quitting the game and returning.
What can I do?

What can I do?
You don't get in through the main gate -- Geralt will even vocalise, "Need another way in". You will hear a peasant thief yelling for his lost partner, Kendrick. He's just to the left of the gate. There's a break in the wall. That's your way in.
