Can someone explain to me what is going on with W3 save game locations. I had a recent install that put the save game files on my Onedrive account. I had to reinstall Windows and reinstall W3 and now the save games are installed locally in Documents!
Can someone explain why the location has changed, and how I can configure what it should be?

Save games in 'Documents' *is* what it should be. That is where The Witcher 3 and many other games store their save data. That you previously used OneDrive is completely down to you. If you wish the same, then you need to configure your system as you did before.

I didn't do anything. How would I configure it to save to another location?

You need to configure OneDrive to sync your documents. I have no experience with OneDrive, so I cannot tell you how.
