]When I first installed Witcher 3 it was done via direct download, not the GOG app/downloader. I uninstalled it awhile back but have now reinstalled to play Blood & Wine and my save games don't show up -- what do I do? Yes, I did back them up when I uninstalled. Do I just put the save games in a folder/directory? Also; can you play hearts of stone after blood & wine without greatly effecting the way things unfold (story wise)?

The saved games go inside ..\Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves\ . Both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are self contained within the game world, meaning you can play them at any time you are of an appropriate level, without effecting the main storyline in any way.
