I didn't had any issues with the game. Game runs fluently at 40 to 50 fps, all in high settings on my GXT 960, i5 2500k @ 3,3GHz and 8GB of ram with windows 8.1 PC.
Yet, sometimes, randomly when I open the Inventory to che some notes, after 20 or 30 seconds or so, the game crashes. I kill the witcher process at the task manager, and belive it or not, it goes right away when I end it, like the game had some sort of alert or something and already forze the game.

Someone with the same issue?
SAme here, started having this issue just an hour ago. 15 hours problemfree before that

Yup getting random crashes as well.

Make sure you save regularly.

Hope these issues will be fixed soon.

Ok I've got a simmilar problem, which i've narrowed down to the silver sword slot, quite often if i mouse over the sliver sword slot the game will freeze up and i have to alt-tab-del out, then restart the game, some times it happens when i swap a new sword in and sometimes it's just mousing over the slot that will do it, but not all the time,

Is anyone else getting this?

- this was happening before i put the hair works on.
- everything else works perfectly at full ultra settings.
I've had this 3 times so far but it happens when I go to inventry quickly after I loot solution I found was wait a few seconds after looting or dialog not seen it happen if i wait.
yes i just had an inventory crash as well...I have also crashed in the shed when I saved Bastien. Came back to that spot and had no problems until i tried to get out of the shed. The door wouldnt open, so i just slammed myself against it and finally got it open but then couldnt get out past the dog, After a few minutes of randomly jumping and running into the dog i finally got out. I have also been having alot of very clunky, erratic movements on the PC using a mouse and keyboard. Please NO ONE suggest I get a stupid controller. If I wanted to play on a controller I would have a console. Never will have a console. I bought this game expecting to have nice mouse and keyboard playability. I know this is still new and alot of patches are going to be needed but this is the 21st century one would expect a game produced today to come out of the box playable at a level higher than 1996. Just my opinion and somethings Ive noticed so far. Also Im playing with a GTX 760 and 16Gb of RAM so thats not the issue.
Its not related to a certain slot. I've experimented and managed to isolate a way to reproduce it: you need to replace an item in a slot. I have not gotten crashes when the slot was empty.

I tried the following:

-Swords it crashed the game once
-Potions it crashed the game every time i tried to replace a potion with another potion
-Trophies same as potions

However this morning i played the game and didn't encounter the bug. Maybe its just luck.
Same as well. GTX 970/3570k/16GB RAM.

Happens in the inventory UI.
Run into this bug a dozen times today and eventually just gave up, I've done some reading around and a few things I have on my list to try:

1) Set Frame Rate to Unlimited
2) Set Screen Mode to Full Screen (instead of Borderless Window)
3) Set Nvidia Power Management to Max Performance
4) Underclock GPU/s (I have two 970s but SLI is broken for me so only running one card)

Might be worth trying them out, I have had enough for tonight, feels like this game needed a heap more testing on PC :(
I have fixed my freezing and tooltip menu crashes (or just menu crashes) by uninstalling Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (web installer on the microsoft site). I still got a weird issue with the main menu and cutscenes though. Low FPS :P, Game runs fine. Ah well, atleast the crashes stopped.

Been playing for quite awhile now =].

Simple steps (Windows 7):

1. Go to > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (it's probably 4.5.2)
2. Go to > https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 and download the web installer.
3. Install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 with the Microsoft Web Installer.
4. Start up the game.
5. You may have profit.

For me it worked and no, that doesn't mean it works for you.

Note: I had the low FPS for menu and cutscenes before I applied this "fix".
Note 2: I also posted this here: http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/crashfreeze_all_random

In my case, happened a lot when trying to read notes and books, really annoying, because I like to read the lore, yet the feeling that it could crash at any moment at random, just makes me not to read a lot of it, and just open and close it fast to gain the information onto the bestiary or other stuff.
