Hey there,

I am just starting the witcher and want very much to romance triss and not that arrogant b.... yennefer...

At the end of the imperial audience quest you can ask something like" why didn´t you come to me " to yennefer.... i read that in order for romancing triss you have to be really careful to avoid romancing yennefer so i was wondering if triggering that dialog already counts toward romancing yen....

any help would be very much appreciated....

No, that doesn't matter.
romancing yen is connected to a sidequest with her on skellige that's where you make the decision after defeating a certain side-boss.
The other conversations with her don't matter.

You don't have to be careful with Yennefer, other than not to take the romance options. The important steps with Triss is to not dismiss any prior romance when talking to Dijkstra (minor), kiss her at the party when the opportunity arises (important), complete her personal side quest (major!), ask her to stay when she's about to get on the boat (major!). Remember, talking to Yennefer is just fine, but don't romance her, in other words, don't sleep with her.
