Can both of you stop acting like such children? Grow up.

Anyways, I would like a pre-load but meh, it's not required.

All you will get is

- a patch for the actual game (like preparing for B&W)
- the expansion.

Busy servers, certainly.
Actually I am also wondering. I already ordered the retail version with the gwent cards. Will the game be patched with the blood and wine expansion waiting on a key or will it only download the expansion once a key has been entered?

Being DRM free I can imagine it makes preload/prepatching with the content tricky.

I would appreciate it if people could stop derailing my thread. I would still like to know whether there will be a preload.

Your question was answered. There will not be a preload. How could there be? We are only a few hours away from the release!

the same way the original game was released. make most of the installation parts available and unlock the last file on release. it's not that hard.

The question wasn't whether it's hard/doable or anything like that, the question is IF it's going to happen. And the answer was and still is: NO.

that was his question.
How could there be?
and that was yours. most likely a rhetorical question, but i answered it anyway.

That question didn't aim towards the possibility of a preload, but to the fact that we are only hours away. At this point this wouldn't be a preload anymore but simply an early release.

only, if you could play it earlier then. any download of game files prior to the release is a preload. it doesn't matter if it's months, weeks or hours away.

yes, i agree, it's highly unlikely that there will be any form of preload today, but technically, it's still possible.
That's true, but a preload is basically there to help people with slower connections (and to make sure not everyone is downloading at the same time). If it would take someone 3-4 days to download this or even longer, it wold be like a bad joke, to only give them 4 extra hours or so. For a preload to be effective, it has to start days before a release.
