After so many times I had this game sitting in my library, i decided to play it. (Never felt to play it because i was afraid to play again an open world game with pointless POIs to discover.

But everything was okay until I got to Skellige. Who thought it would be a good idea to add so many POIs to such a water map where literally none of the points is holding anything interesting. (except a few and some nice easter eggs) plus the Sirens are a cancer, climbing on the boat, and you either kill them or can start to swim for hours.

Guys....CDPR......PLEASE!!! This is not how you make open world games. Don't follow the Ubisoft recipe. The grind makes me sick. (yeah you can say: "just ignore it". But i'm ...just as so many people....a maximalist and completionist. Who gets frustrated when there are uncompleted points on the map or the quest log.

Please don't continue this mechanic in Cyberpunk.
Your storytelling and quests are awesome. But this kind of grind is ruining the immersion.
Yeah for non-completionists those points are there just so they won't get bored to death when doing some RP boat-rowing. LIke me, I would do any "?" point if it happens to be on my way, and leave the rest. I like hoarding stuff so I don't mind grabbing all the materials I can, and sometimes I get a better sword. It works well enough for me, and I bet most players feel the same.

Tbh, if you're so much of a completionist that you'd feel obligated to do every single one of them, and get upset when it feels like wasting time, you can't really complain. Calling it "grind" sounds like you're forced to do it in order to accomplish something major, like story progress or something. I don't think that is the case here. Now if there's indeed an achievement for clearing every single "?" on that map, then that's a bit much, but I'm guessing most players won't care if they can't be bothered to get it.

Sorry, just my thoughts. I can imagine how you feel, but I maintain that in this case you have only yourself to blame for your frustration.

This is a weird gripe, this 'grind' you speak of doesn't exist. Grinding is when your forced to do tedious side quests to gain the minimal xp you need to reach an appropriate level. That's not how this game works, you said yourself that you are a completionist, that's on you, CDPR aren't forcing you to go out and find every single POI, and on that, do you really expect there to be something amazing and mind blowing at every single POI in the game? Even if all you find at a POI is some crowns and some food items then its still a reward for going there, isn't it?

I'm no where near a completionist usually only going out and exploring when I am in that area for a quest, yet I've never felt like there was a grind, or that I had to grind. You can't blame CDPR for your own need to find every single POI

This is EXACTLY how you make open world games and you will find almost all other open world games like it are the same.

Doesn't exist for you because you are a different type of person. Try to step out from your bubble of personality and you will see that there are people who have a different mindset. For me...this is an issue of pointless grind.

Then stop complaining like a spoiled child and go play a different game more suiting to your likes.

Ah the lovely place of the internet. How charming and friendly are. Only the intelligence of these people are exceeding this level. Nope.
And yes i'm doing it. it's called Witcher 2.
But hey. Are you just as friendly and accepting with people who are gambling addicted, drog or alcohol addicted? Or maybe with people who have tunnel visions in life...just as you? If you can just insult people on a forum don't even enter it.
