I seem to plagued with the same patching issues others have encountered. The issue seems connected to a problem introduced by galaxy. Galaxy is telling me I have updates available and when I turn on auto updates it tries to download the 7.5 gb game extras yet according to the chagngelog it appears as though I have 1.08.2 installed. When try to install the new game plus dlc by checking the box it attempts to download the 7.5 gb of extras again.

Here is another confusing detail, in game it shows I am running 1.08 on the main menu. Now I assume this last vbit might simply be they are not incrementing minor versions at that level of detail on the in game menus. I would really like to avoid having to download 7.5 of stuff I have no interest in going through just to make Galaxy get in sync and to be able to have the right version reported to itself.

I know I can run the game without Galaxy but would prefer simply if they fixed the darn client. My downloading capability is pretty limited so advice telling me to redownload the game etc or to simply dl the 7.5 is not going to help me much as it is not an option. I did manually dl the 1.08.1 files when it first came out and installed them but would rather not have to dl 1.08.2 manually again if I can get confirmation that I already have it installed.

Thanks for any help!
Galaxy doesn't seem to actually know what patch there is. I once updated without galaxy and with 1.08 it downloaded it again.. which was kinda lame. =P

This isn't much help, but I can confirm that they are not showing the increments for minor versions. I am running 1.08.2 and using the NG+ and my main menu screen in Witcher 3 still reads 1.08.
Thanks for the replies. The confirmation on in game version helps. The issue is till there as it wants to download 7.5 gb still.

3 ways for you:

1. Start the game without Galaxy till there is a fix. (you will miss out achievements and time tracking)
2. Disable auto update and start game with Galaxy.
3. Let Galaxy download all extras and start game with Galaxy.
Thanks that is the same conclusion I had come to. I was just hoping there was something I missed that would actually address the issue. I wonder if the same issue occurs for other games in Galaxy or just W3.
I don't know because I don't use Galaxy.
Well today there was another update to the Galaxy client and still the forced issue to download the 7.5 gb extras to go to version 1.08.3 from 1.08.2. The only option is still to update to another minor revision manually. No thanks!
