Certification?

Don't they just upload the file on their site and to gog.com and steam etc? Do those certify anything about it? O.o

Don't ask me. Thats what the OP said. But wasn't specific as to who was doing the certification.

The only reason I can figure for a process on GoG, etc is to test the installer and do some limited testing on their respective platform features (overlays, multiplayer, etc). That used to not be a thing with GoG, but now with Galaxy...

What about setting PhysX to be handled by an i7 rather than poor Nvidia GpU? Does it help for fps?

780ti @ 3440x1440 with roughly the same performance you're getting without hairworks(I also reduced shadow quality and turned motion blur off), I think the problems with hairworks will get sorted like TressFX(AMD) were sorted with Tomb Raider, just took a few patches, and better drivers.

Based upon what I've read about PhysX and CPU doing physics calculations, modern GPUs are much better at it.

Certification would be for the console versions - sony/xbox certify stuff like that works with their internal test teams before allowing it to be released into the wild.

With the quality of work only associated with CDPR, I am sure this patch will improve the game significantly! It is already in a class of its own! And 600 fixes? WOW!!! that is impressive.
To put this into perspective, it took Bioware more than a month to release their initial bug fix patch, which made things much worse for the majority of gamers. 6 patches later, and that game is still in a much worse state than TW3 as far as gameplay and stability for some are concerned.

not true i have a i7 4770K, Nvidia 560ti and no SSD and the game runs on High setting without the Nvidia Hair stuff on 1080p.

the only problem i have, after some time playing, i restart my PC do some other things and then try to go back to the game, but the game does not start :(

so i hope that a new patch will fix this problem

I have a very similar configuration, but with a normal HDD. I haven't counted the FPS, but so far everything has been smooth. This game doesn't require a monster of a graphics card.

I run the game on a 760 and an i5@3400 MHz, game runs with 30FPS with everything on high and HBAO enabled.

No Audio problems, speech is as loud as it should be, no crashes so far.

Although I agree the whole "Downgrade" controversy was blown way out of proportion, for me this game a complete & broken mess of a game.

It will not run for any longer than 20 minutes regardless of settings, drivers etc, etc.

I am an experienced PC technician, I am not some gimp sitting with 400 apps & virus's running in the background, I have a decent, well maintained gaming machine and have never in my life had a game this broken on release.

I know it will get fixed, that's why I am not running around shouting about refunds, but its still left a bad taste in my mouth,

That's great for you. But you should see many others have problems with this game. I do!

Well, it's not THAT broken, but it indeed have some rather annoying issues - e.g. at one point I got stuck on a horse - it wont move in any direction and i could not dismount - reloading fixed it, or stucking on little planks and rocks when galloping is very annoying (one of the reasons I turned down dificulty from Death March to one lower).
