1. Why is the font so weird and bloated? Is there any way to turn it back?
2. What's up with "Wrong Craftsman"? I'm trying to make a Silver Sword at a Journeyman craftsman and I've got all the materials, but I still can't?
Also: I liked the way I got a popup saying "Input changed" when switching between keyboard and controller.

Sadly, some people got annoyed by the silly pop-up so it might be no longer there. No idea what was the issue with that pop-up :P

2. You are at the wrong craftsman. Find a weapon smith.
Even though I was annoyed by that Control Switch Popup (it happened without me touching the keyboard or the mouse), I think an option to turn it on/off would have been more elegant. :)

It can be immersion breaking to ride through a beautiful landscape with your gamepad in hand and a little popup keeps informing you that it switched to gamepad controls (because for a split second it thought you used the other controls).

I dont know if thats caused by tiny vibrations in the ground (maybe from cars) that your mouse laser picks up or by background processes in windows, but it sure was annoying. :)
Well i know i deactivated my popup by changing the hidden.ini in C:\Spiele\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base to LockControlScheme=2.
Try changing it to 0 or 1, maybe that chanes it back. Can´t remember what it was before so you´ll have to try it yourself.
That Options sounds like it disables all other Controls, i doubt thats what they want. :)

Of course the popup is gone when you make him forget that all other inputs exist xD
The font size is fine. If anything, it could have been even bigger, but that's just me. I can finally read it on my TV. YMMV.

You do use the small HUD in the options, right?

Playing on a 24" 1080p PC monitor like I do, I disagree. The text is now much bigger than it needs to be & I much preferred it as it was. It's a shame they haven't just given us a font size slider or something.

The issue was that every time you hit the menu you got this message that "controller changed", except - no it didn't. I never unplugged nor plugged in any controller and absolutely nothing about my controller setup changed neither in terms of what hardware is plugged in nor how it is configured in the game options. It was an unnecessary "debug" message for the developers really that has no use to anyone else. Note how no other game out there ever displays a similar message. Seeing it all the time had bazillions of people asking "why is that message there and what does it mean?". For a message that is useless to cause user confusion and fill forums with questions just adds tech support load both to the developers and to the community to answer the same questions over and over again.

Imagine if every time you walked by your car a voice from the car said out loud "door locked". Um yeah, I know it's locked and I wasn't seeing that information right now. Now if you actually go into the configuration menu and _change_ something about the controller configuration, and exit that menu and save the changes and it displays such a message - then it makes sense at least.

So.... they removed the useless confusing message. No loss.

I agree that a slider would have been better, but there is no downside to it except for not appealing to your aesthetic preferences. I take readability on TV over that, I'm sorry. I doubt you would have complained about the font size, if it had come like it is from the start.

I second this... the best solution would be an adjustable option in options menu or something (even if only with two presets like it was pre 1.05 and like it is now).

Doesn't the "HUD size" switch affect the font size? I haven't tried it.

Just gave it a try... "HUD size" option does not affect the text size! :(
