Is it just me or am I really getting better performance for maxing out all settings?
Just now I thought of maxing all sliders... just for the heck of it... and what do you know... I think my FPS did not drop.. perhaps even became more stable...

I'm running on a single 970, i5 4690, 8GB ram.
Also just out of curiosity, how much FPS do you guys get in Novigrad? In certain areas I get 60 fps, but in others I dip down the 40s.

My FPS went from 45-50ish to 60 with the 1.03 patch.

i7-4790k
16GB DDR4-2400
Gigabyte Windforce 970 GTX
Windows 10
Shadowplay w/Twitch streaming Enabling

Settings:
1920x1080
Everything Ultra except the following:
Depth of Field disabled.
Foliage Range: High
Hairworks: On w/AA set to 4.
HBAO+: On
For me patch 1.03 made the game unplayable. I frequented driver crashes so bad I had to hard reboot.

I downgraded back to 1.02(by downloading the patch and installing it). Only problem is that I have to start a new game to play, but it is well worth it just to be able to play the game again.

Did you not have any saves before you patched the game? They should still work.
My fps fell from 40-60 to 30-40 with 1.03. Dunno.
My Rig:

FX 6300 Overclocked
GTX970 (latest driver)
16GB RAM
Windows 8.1

from 45 FPS Ultra without Nvidia Hair to 50 FPS Ultra with Nvidia Hair.
And the Game crashes are gone :)
Patch 1.03 is awesome ;)
Hmm.. this is one curious case... Mileage varies so much from player to player... Only problem I've got with this patch though is that I noticed when I dip around the 40 FPS range, there's some sort of micro stutter.
I had in 1.02 some strange stuttering when I was running, fighting etc. 1.03 patch fix it and it feels much smoother.

I might, but I just experienced a driver crash on 1.02. I'm not sure if there's files leftover from 1.03 causing the problem or if my gfx card has just decided to die whenever I try to play now.
Performance-schmerformance... Switching to borderless window actually gives me a nice FPS boost, from 35 to 50+. O_o Can anyone else check, please?
Would be nice to put which GPUs you have. I didn't noticed mayor differences on my GTX 960
You can read Patch notes. It did improved performance I play it on gtx 980 and it runs 60 FPS on Ultra ( hair works on) i can even play on 2k with nice 40-45 fps.

On my end.. switching to borderless window mode lowers my fps by 2~3..
My issue I mentioned before is somehow fixed itself after I verified the game files on galaxy. I haven't experienced any driver crashes or sluggish performance yet.
Also upon further testing.. I am really experience some sort of frame skipping when fps dips around 40...
I'd really wish I get a solid 60 on Novigrad though.
