R 1.21 B&W. Various townspeople walking by are half invisible, missing clothing and skin. Faces just have eyes, and those same NPCs' clothing will flash in and out, saturating the entire display with a solid color, most notably brown. It's only the townspeople that are half invisible that seem to saturate the screen. You can watch them from a distance, and the saturated color starts at their location and grows larger across the screen the farther away it gets from them.

I did a GOG game verify, and that didn't help.

Running GTx980 X3 SLI. Changing graphics detail from ULTRA to High did not change problem.

Doing a search on GOG for this problem, I did not see anyone else mentioning seeing this, but it is really annoying. I find it hard to believe that it's just me. I never had this problem before B&W. Does anyone know of a fix?

Are you using any mods? If so, try uninstalling the mods, then verify the game again. Also, are you using the Game Overlay? I ask that because I've seen a few topics complaining about seemingly random glitches, but they were resolved after the player disabled the Game Overlay, so try that if you are using it.

I also recommend, if you haven't already, to search other forums besides the GOG one. I'm looking through the Steam version's forum and CDPR's own forums as well, and even places like gamefaqs, so far I'm seeing similar complaints but no solutions yet. If I find something I'll edit this post and let you know.

No, I am not using any mods. I'll check on "Game Overlay." I didn't see it under listed under Options/Video/Graphics or Gameplay, so I'll have to search around. Oh, and I'm running full screen with Vsync on.

I checked the Steam Community first but didn't see the same exact issue I'm having. It's weird seeing people from the waist down walking, and from the waist up all I see are eyeballs and teeth. If I bump into them, all the skin and clothing comes back momentarily, but then disappears again as soon as they start walking. And the flashing brown that covers my screen that emanates from these half-NPCs is really annoying. Some of the horses people are riding are invisible from the saddle down too.

Thanks for your help!
For the game overlay, in GOG Galaxy go to "MORE", then "Settings". Scroll down to the "DLCS INSTALLED" section, the Game Overlay is in the checklist there.

Hopefully this gets resolved for you soon. If it's any consolation, the devs are working on a patch for "major issues" reported as of version 1.21's problems and those caused by Blood and Wine, so there's that to look forward to.

Thanks for the navigation! I unchecked "Game Overlay," (I have Beta Channels "on") and I'm heading into a town in order to test it.

Interestingly, it's only women that show up as half-invisible and cause the brown flashing that saturates the screen. Horses are generally ridden by soldiers, and the horses are invisible from the saddle down in many cases; in others, the horse's head is terrible distorted.

Unfortunately, turning off Game Overlay did not solve the problem, so I hope that their next patch solves the problem.

Thanks again for the advice!
