Scythifuge: I have a 5900x CPU, a 6900XT GPU, 32GB of 3600Mhz RAM, and I am running the game on a fast SSD. Prior to this update, I played the game in 4k with everything cranked up all of the way and got a solid locked 60FPS. Now, with the "next-gen" update, the game runs like garbage. I have read that this is a problem across the board for PC users. Two years of waiting after the CP2077 fiasco, and now this? This is why I am playing MS-DOS games on a real 486, these days. Modern "gaming" is absolutely screwed, unless you go with indy titles. I was hoping to play a NG+ game with this update, but I am getting save game compatibility/version errors when trying to find a save to import (and even if the performance issues are fixed, I don't see myself playing the game again just to play a NG+ game.)
I was hoping for something cool after getting ripped off and screwed over by Elex II, but like I said, modern "gaming: is trash, and companies can no longer release a solid title.
I'm experiencing major isues with the next-gen update, even with the Hotfix 2. I have always used the GOTY physical copy of the game, so it's the first time launching it through GOG Galaxy. Well, with GOG Galaxy 2.0 the game directly doesn't download, I get the E4 error whathever I do (tried all the recommendations, but to no avail). Finally, installed the 1.2.16.67 version of the launcher, and the game did download.
However, the game suddenly shutsdown during any loading screen (tried a new game, and also the expansions) and it always crashes back to desktop. I have tried launching the game with DX11 and it worked, but the FSR 2.1 is not available in this mode (DLSS seems to work), and the performance is quite bad. Also updated the AMD drivers but I'm still experiencing the same problem.
My PC is pretty old: W10, FX6200, RX470, 16 Gb and the game is running in a Samsung QVO 870 SSD. Either way I don't think it's a requeriments isue, since I'm able to enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 at 1600x900, 30fps and mid/high settings with the FSR 2.1 in performance mod at 0.90 (no RT of course) without any trouble.
I believe it's some kind of compatibility isue with the REDengine 2 and DX12, since, as I said, Cyberpunk 2077 is working without any trouble..
Anyway, after some tests I have been able to run the game with DX11 at 1600x900, mid/high settings and 55-60fps using the Radeon Boost from the Radeon Adrenaline Software. Of course it's way worse than using FSR 2.1, but have not been able to find any other solution at this point.
So, does anyone know if it's possible to make FSR 2.1 work on DX11???
Thanks
