Hello there
I have a big problem, I cant launch gog galaxy only what I see after click on short cut I see always the massage: " The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix problem ."
I was trying this:
-reinstall gog galxy a couple of times - didn't work
-install vc_redist.x64 to fix the missing files of visula v++ - didn't work
- reinstall whole game 2 times- didn't work
-reinstall a couple of times this gog galaxy launcher- didn't work

I really don't know what to do... I want this launcher only to fix bug is Witcher3 ( youn know: maneage--> fix, or sth like that in launcher settings ), but my launcher don't work... Besides graphic artefacts I want to fix mission " The sea Devils" one of sides quest in skellige. I was trying everything...

I was played this game a couple months ago and everything was ok with launcher and game but I had to delete this game and now after this break I cant either play wicther without mission bugs, graphics artefacts....

PLEASE HELP

You need to install the Microsoft Universal C runtime update. Make sure you read that page to ensure you meet the prerequisites, and choose the correct file.
ok Thanks for fast respond, I will try this

Hello.
About 6 months ago, I too was having problems with Galaxy. Kept uninstalling and installing it with no change. Finally I did this and it fixed it.
This was from Support on how to do a Clean Install for Galaxy:
quote:
First uninstall GOG Galaxy, by running the unins000.exe file located in the GOG Galaxy installation folder (by default C:\Program Files (x86)\GalaxyClient).

Go to C:\ProgramData\GOG.com, and delete the "Galaxy" folder. Make sure to show hidden files and folders in the "Folder and search options", if you haven't done so already.

Then download the latest version of GOG Galaxy from our website http://www.gog.com/galaxy, run the installation as administrator, and install it to the default folder.

Launch GOG Galaxy as administrator, and log in using your GOG.com account. None of the installed games will be automatically recognized by GOG Galaxy. However, you can easily add them by using the SCAN AND IMPORT FOLDERS option, under the plus '+' icon in the top left corner."

This still did not help as there were further needed steps for me to take which was this my reply to them after getting it to work:
quote from me:

Went and searched for anything else Galaxy related. Bingo. Found 2 more folders in which the uninstall did not delete:
GalaxyCommunicationsService file folder located in Users.
GOG.com file folder located in C:\ProgramData
Went into Regedit and under GOG.com, found 2 entries.

Performed another uninstall, deleted the above folders, deleted the Registry entry for GOG.com and then reinstalled Galaxy. After it updated I did a computer shutdown. Then restarted. After everything came up,
GoG came up with no problems. Shutdown GoG and restarted with no problems. Imported my Witcher directories, let it do a update with no problems.
Clicked on everything (forum, posts, etc.) with no problems. Checked my Registry entry and now its (GOG.com) there with only 1 entry. Performed numerous shutdowns and startups and everything appears to be working now. Thanks for all the help.
